I'm flabbergasted by Rachel Maddow. Last night she spent exactly 10 seconds reporting Bernie winning

in Michigan. No analysis, she just simply said it was an upset. Then she immediately pivots to a recall petition for Snyder. Then a too long historical bit on George Wallace getting shot in 1972 and then winning the Michigan primary with a record turnout. Then a guest talking about how great the GOP turnout this year was. Then some stupid waste of time story about plane noise complaints at Reagan National. That was the whole show. Bernie was only mentioned after 35 minutes at the start of the show about the GOP race and endless stop Trump CRAP. I don't think Hillary's win in Mississippi was even mentioned.

Fucking liberal media.

I'm so incredibly disgusted with her at this point. What a disgrace. What a sell-out.

She's been annoying for a while but usually makes it up with some interesting takes and analysis. But after last night, I'm freaking done with her.

The networks use OUR PUBLIC AIRWAVES UNDER LICENSE!!! They should be REQUIRED to tell the truth. The BS exception that Fox News carved out when they won their appeal in Florida for deliberately lying was because Fox News is actually "entertainment" and not news needs to be overturned by statute. News should be news with journalist required to fact check their stories like they used to. Call out lies from politicians when they hear them instead of just repeating the lies verbatim and hiding behind "We just reported what they said."

But I don't listen to her with a stop watch to measure her coverage. So you might have that one on me.

She's protecting her yuuge pay check. Not sure why this would be a surprise.

I stopped watching M$NBC after they axed Ed. IT's a waste of time now. I get more information here

to how that adversely affects Hillary. Oh dear, whatever can Hillary do to prop up her support among the youth, oh dear will Bernie in the rear view mirror push her into policy flips that might make her uncomfortable, etc etc etc...

So, yeah, Rachel has been most disappointing of late. Her obvious passion for the election process has perhaps clouded any notion of objectivity. (She has been a staunch Hillary fan)

Which is to repeat the same point in five different ways, punctuated with dramatic pauses.

It takes her 10 minutes to get across what a normal person could convey in 2 minutes. That's great for listeners who are slow and new to the material she's covering, but agonizing for the average informed, left-of-center listener, who should be her target demographic.

She'd be a good elementary school teacher, but as a newscaster, it gets so old.

She's been told, "tow the line or lose your job".

For several years I watched her almost daily - she usually got the news out with the correct view that no one else had.

But I stopped watching her several months ago. Her show has gone to corporate dribble . . .

Choosing between a Third Way Democrat and a liberal is the real decider.

As far as msm, none of it is about being liberal. It's about the conservative/neocon agenda of the 5 to 7 mega corps that own most of mainstream media. Neoliberal is the furthest left it's going to go.

This thread is reason 3,567,432 that we need Bernie, as Dust Lawyer pointed out upthread. http://www.democraticunderground.com/12511461843#post47

Maddow shills for Hillary. Matthews sucks the Clinton teet everyday. Scarborough is a big mouth and Mika is meek. They are ALL shit at MSNBC. So glad I dropped them from my life.

However, her gig only works when it's aimed at Republicans-she's part of the Democrats vs. Republicans charade. Bernie has exposed the Democratic Party Establishment as being too closely tied to Wall Street and, well, Comcast is big time Wall Street. What's a person to do?

86. MSNBC
Thu Mar 10, 2016, 03:13 PM

MSNBC along with NBC and other MSM outlets are totally up trumps ass, and here is my theory why.

The Obama administration has had a successful run. The unemployment is low, job growth over 46 months has been positive, ACA is successful, gay marriage is legal, Social Security is still here, the govt has not confiscated your guns, Obama has not allowed the whitehouse to become a Kenyan Muslim based Mosque..... so the MSM is somewhat perplexed with not having a lot to chew on. With Trump as president, this guy will open the whole nine yards of bullshit this country is going to go through. His racist stance on any group that is not pure white cretin, his total bullshit stance on china, when his suits are made there. His total lack of knowledge pertaining to ANYTHING this country stands for or against, his willingness to take our children into another shitstorm in the middle east.

The MSM are salivating to get Trump in. Mika, Joe Scarborough, Maddow, Matthews, all of them are up his ass. Now notice the ones who are not up Trumps ass. They are the ones who are out... Ed Schultz, Melissa Perry, Sharpton, Obermann, Cenk...... yup .....that my theory

well, as long as Matt Lauer give trump free phone calls, Fox brings him on every program they have, CNN cut to HIS rallies ONLY, barely to never a Clinton, or Sanders rally. As long as the MSM refuses to call trump (I refuse to capitalize his name not doing it anymore as my protest) on any of his racist rants, attacks by supporters, etc..... he will reap the rewards, and with the growing hysteria he is building and throwing into these cretins faces, he will win over Clinton and Sanders. Then the shit will hit the fan when all his idiotic supporters find out trump as president is not trump as king, and congress will swallow him whole. My true wish is a democratic senate... if trump does get in, a democratic senate can control all his agenda.... control supreme court noms, Obamacare cuts, etc..... get the senate vote out... help elect the democrats in the senate.

As such she is no longer completely free to speak her mind in their broadcasts. Apparently, however, she still wants to retain her job (can you blame her, in this market?) and her soapbox - there are a few things that she can still slip by the Comcast standards & practices. Yes, she's been mostly neutered by the agenda of her new bosses. That's life!

Those with pride and convictions have left. My opinion of Rachel and Chris Hayes has gone way, way down. I used to DVR Kornacki on the weekend but no longer.

Again, the good news is that kids and the semi tech savvy of us not so young can find real progressive talk on their TV through Wi-Fi. So I get my takes from Cenk, Thom Hartmann, Papantonio, and if I want more passion Malloy, a little truth seeking.

No need to put up with this now lame network.
