2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumIf Hillary would just drop out now, we could all unite behind Bernie Sanders.
We've been told for the last few weeks that Bernies campaign is futile, and if he'd just drop out, we could all be united.
Me? I'm in it until the last delegate is counted. So is Bernie!

(94,502 posts)I'm sure, as a Sanders supporter, you would say the same about Clinton.
Then, of course, there's that "Clinton is actually leading" thing.

(1,947 posts)didn't Hillary call for it? Paraphrasing, the sooner the nomination is over the sooner I can concentrate on taking on the republicans. I am sure I heard her say that within two days.

(3,795 posts)You never know what might happen to someone so it's best that Bernie and Hillary both stay in until the convention. In this case we have a candidate that might even get indicted so it really makes ZERO sense for Bernie to drop out before the convention.
I'm pretty sure that '16 Hillary doesn't believe what '08 Hillary was selling.
It would be one of MANY, MANY, MANY things that Hillary has waffled and flipped on over the years.

(15,558 posts)I think the post is a little (understandable) 'how do you like it?' We've been told to give up and get out of the way since Bernie announced.

(146,286 posts)Hillary's leading and Sanders is doing better. I don't get it. It's the primaries. Why anyone should drop out at this point makes no sense at all.
Is someone calling for a candidate to drop out? It's just getting interesting...

(51,308 posts)We have two fantastic candidates, and they bring good things to our party - as well as our country!
I will happily vote for whomever is chosen as our nominee.
