2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumRemember the meme that Berniebros were harassing E Warren to endorse him? Or the one where Bernie
was in the bag of the NRA? Or the one where Bernie was not a real civil rights activist?
Where are they now? They served their purpose. They were totally fabricated by none other than the Clinton machine in their quest for the Presidency. Do you think Berniebros are no longer harassing E Warren? I actually think they were NEVER harassing her.
Shame on you Clintons, shame on you, for spreading lies about a good man. Karma is coming and you've got nothing left over than red-baiting. That's what you are left with.

It was very successful. I suppose the Clinton/Brock Machine expected it to work with 'bailout' bullshit. It did not. Now we get to see if the Commie/MinuteMan/Kock Bros meme will backfire!

It's all a ploy ... no one in their right minds will actually believe this crap, but they probably are just hoping to cause Bernie to get pissed and make some kind of "Excuse me, I'm talking" moment so they can start playing the victim card.

(98 posts)When she lies or misrepresents something herself at least we know who said it, and it can be fact checked and eventually she may even be called out on it. With an online horde of anonymous astroturfers from all over the world it's nearly impossible to ever know who they are, what their motivations are, or if they have an agenda and who hired them.
In the end I think and hope they don't really have much influence, and for the most part only succeed in frustrating Bernie supporters by engaging in dead end arguments patched together entirely from campaign talking points and debunked smears.

Also, if you're talking about the SI Swimsuit issue (again), you should know- since it's so important to you- that it came out already.

Anyway, it seems like they just meant that Elizabeth Warren was being harassed. You know, I don't think they meant being raped literally.
Things happen outside of DU. I know! Hard to believe. Crazy, right? It's so fun that you get caught up in this nutty place.
Warren DeMontague
(80,708 posts)If "rape culture" as a concept is to be treated with the seriousness that the issue of rape deserves, one would think that applying it to something like pressure on a prominent senator to run for president would be counterproductive.
But what do I know, it's not like I'm "the smartest person on the internet".
I'm really not sure why you keep bringing it up randomly, but if you are really interested in the sports illustrated swimsuit issue, you can view it here.

I think the only people who worry about that sort of thing are the ones who are skeptical of it in the first place. That's usually because they don't understand what the concept means.

(9,688 posts)You reply to a question: "Remember the meme that Berniebros were harassing E Warren to endorse him?" by asserting that "it's still going on", obviously meaning that "Berniebros" are still "harassing" Elizabeth Warren. The evidence you post for your lie? a screencapture of 4 posts to Warren's facebook page where 3 WOMEN and 1 MAN urge Warren to endorse Sanders. This, you claim, is "Berniebros" nefarious "harrassment".
So what exactly do you think you or your candidate gain from this bottom-feeding?
p.s., I thought you were better than this.

(9,688 posts)What do you think Hillary Clinton's campaign gains from Brock's sleazy "Berniebro" meme? Attacking "Bernie supporters" rather than focussing on candidates and issues.
What do you think the upshot will be after the entire sector of the *democratic party* is ratfucked or swiftboated or whatever such tactics are called in that matter by your candidate's BrockPAC? I mean jeez, Agschmid, at least the R's use those kind of tactics on D's, they didn't swiftboat their own political base!
