Coincidence? Woman runs for president, expected to sail to nomination.

And not once but twice is challenged, maybe successfully.

I dont know, something to think about.

Personally I would rather see Bernie Sanders as our next president, over Hillary Clinton.

But something I heard today on the tube about Hillary might be showing some frustration answering questions in debates and otherwise in regard to she assumed this would be her nomination, etc.

Both things can be true:

a. That Bernie and Barack are both great candidates and successful politicians and good people and not personally sexist

and

b. When Hillary announces a run, she can expect a man to oppose her and in a very aggressive and possibly successful way

So is it coincidence, or is there something more here?

Just thinking out loud.

I've said it before. There are at least 25 million women I would vote for before I'd vote for HRC. hobbit709 Mar 2016 #1

She is the embodiment of establishment and entitlement. It's a bad year for that.

Not even a standing president, gets a free pass against any and all challengers.

Whenever Hillary runs (though his is likely her last campaign) she should expect a challenger, male or female, and be made to actually earn her position.

I look forward to the day I can vote for a Woman I believe in, but it won't be because she is a woman that I am voting for her. I do think her ability to navigate a male dominated field will weigh in my decision, but as a measure of positive character and pushing beyond the limits. Not because she played the game dirtier than her male counterparts. That's not what I want in a leader, nor the role model I think girls or boys should be looking up to.

..with the public would still be in the race. One of the main reasons that she is still running is the number of Baby Boomer woman who would love to finally she a woman President and feel that Hillary may be the last chance that they have to see that happen in their life time. We all have seen plenty of candidates crash and burn with much less baggage than Hillary is caring.

I like your post and I can see why, especially if a person supports Hillary, that they want to figure out exactly WHY she is struggling.
Well, I have to say that there is something more and, as others in this thread have said, she just isn't a good candidate. The whole "she's got the most experience and is the most qualified" does not add up for many of us. She has a lot of experience but she has made some poor judgments/decisions as well as everything else that has already been mentioned about her.

...that Hillary helped write the TPP, says she is against it during this primary, and the Chamber of Commerce is saying she will support it as President? Just thinking out loud.

The issues matter. If Elizabeth Warren was running, perhaps we wouldn't have to hear the gender card played repeatedly to distract from Hillary's actual record on policy. Speaking of Warren, how much pressure was put on her by the Establishment of the party to not run? I wish she went ahead and ran anyway, regardless of that pressure.

and now, times when most believed she was the one, as parties often do, they groom and pick someone, that she has seen such tremendous opposition.

One poster missed where I said I support Bernie Sanders and thought I was looking for an excuse for Hillary.

I think she would make a great president, maybe Bernie would be better, but she would be great. And I also think the opposition she has seen has something to do with her being a woman.
