Bernie Sanders gave the same sort of highly-compensated speeches to Wall Street

CLAIM: Bernie Sanders has not released the transcripts for speeches he gave to major financial institutions, despite calling on Hillary Clinton to do so.

http://www.snopes.com/sanders-bank-speeches/

FALSE
EXAMPLE: [Collected via e-mail and Reddit, March 2016]

The Daily News Bin reported that Bernie Sanders made a speech sponsored by the Bank of America and Liberty Mutual on Feb. 5, 2016 in New Hampshire. Is this true?

_____________________________________________________________________________

It would have been nice if the article had included what the program actually was. There is a humongous difference between sponsoring a program that someone happens to be speaking at, and inviting them to speak at your business for $250,000.

And that is without touching how poorly written the article is.
TL R - This article is more than a bit of a stretch, and I'm surprised to see anyone posting such junk.

ORIGIN:On 10 March 2016, the web site DailyNewsBin published an article claiming that Bernie Sanders "gave a speech to Bank of America" and asked when he would "release the transcripts", referencing a campaign controversy about fellow Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, who (according to public disclosures) earned millions in paid speeches to the financial industry.

DailyNewsBin maintained that Sanders, who has repeatedly called for Clinton to release the transcripts from her speeches, hypocritically gave similar speeches without doing the same:

They are hoping the Big Lie works for them. The principle behind it being, that you tell the Big Lie over and over again. People will start to believe it even when it is refuted with facts. The damage has been done by then. They did it when they swift boated John Kerry. This time around though it looks like people aren't believing everything they are told first hand.

Karl Rove politics works on candidates who pander a lot, with low levels of trust. (Sorry, John Kerry.) As we're now learning, however, if they are used on someone with high credibility and high levels of trust, these kind of attacks backfire, usually immediately. They're making Hillary look worse and worse every day. She needs to tell her underlings to "cut it out!"

We are left to speculate to what she said. Here is my guess, "To my friends in the ruling class, I want to assure you that I will continue the system that has made you wealthy, made us wealthy in spite of what I might tell the lower classes. Please make checks out to cash."

However, when she talks to the masses she stumbles, she slips into the truth and is called on it. Like her admiration for the Reagan's actions or inactions re HIV and Aids. She forgot herself, told the truth, and had to walk it back.

I did not think about that. Even though Hillary Clinton says she is against Citizens United, she agreed with the essential argument put forth by Justice Roberts. that is a brilliant observation. Also Citizens United that is an Orwellian name if there ever was one.

The main goal of the Ruling Class is to amass more and more wealth and not from each other but from the lower classes. This has been happening for 40 years and Clinton would have it continue. While Clinton claims she is against CU it hasn't stopped her from taking advantage of it.

As I say in my signature, The Ruling Class doesn't wish us to die, but they want our resources and if we die as a result, it's not personal it's just the consequences of capitalism. Collateral damage.

If you have something saying it is a news source and it publishes original work (in other words fictions) but paid to be part of googles news algo-rhythms you have a problem with how people can no longer critically assess news or look only for confirmation bias.

If you have a news source again term used as loosely as possible that has to justify it is a news source to people on line it is not a news source

If you have a news source where the editors and writers names, emails or a way to respond to them is impossible it is not a news source

If you have a news source that fails simple fact checks it is not a news source

And if you have a news source that is really only about glowing stories of one candidate it is not a news source but a campaign tool

It's like a local Chamber of Commerce thing. I think they have monthly breakfast gatherings with programs and guest speakers. Google "Politics and Eggs" and you will see their website with information on their meetings, sponsors, etc.

I saw a couple of vague references to this attempted smear at DU. They were obviously vague because any investigation would show it was a televised and Hillary spoke at the same event. This is what they're reduced to. Hillary has people like David Brock, John Podesta and Sidney Blumenthal digging for dirt on Bernie's background and they can't come up with anything substantive. It shows how clean Bernie's record is.
