Move to Canada? Move to Norway?

http://www.democraticunderground.com/10027677883

Posted in the wrong place. Apologies to Admin.

As a 1/2 Norwegian Canadian, I am stumped by any one who isn't supporting Sanders
You have the answer right there!
Remember Quisling. Things could have been different in Scandinavia if it wasn't for the resistance movement.

Hillary and Quisling similarities should not be ignored.

Can't really resist from a distant nation, you know.

I could walk to Canada. Got no damn plans to do so, no matter what happens this election. "I'm going to Canada" has always been the stupidest meme of American politics.

I was talking about you and your nation. I am not a citizen of the US, but what you folks do mightily affects the world. And so, I hope you understand my concern.
The environment and world peace and food equity are big concerns for me.
Okay - off to check out the Peruvian Presidential elections.

but there is a conservative government sitting this term, so not surprised.
Edit: and don't be fooled by the Labour Party label. From wiki: "Since the 1980s, the party has included more of the principles of a social market economy in its policy, allowing for privatization of government-held assets and services and reducing income tax progressivity, following the wave of economic liberalization in the 1980s. During the first Stoltenberg government, the party's policies were inspired by Tony Blair's New Labour and saw the most widespread privatization by any Norwegian government to that date.[11] The party has frequently been described as increasingly neoliberal since the 1980s, both by political scientists and opponents on the left

REASON FOR ALERT

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS

Likening Hillary Clinton to the traitor, Quisling, is over-the-top. Quisling was a collaborator with the German Nazis. I think this should be hidden as a horrible attack on a Democratic candidate for President.

You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Sat Mar 12, 2016, 04:04 PM, and the Jury voted 1-6 to LEAVE IT.

Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: I've previously been called a gay Quisling by some DU LGBT posters before the admin created Jury Service and those folks are still here. In fact, one is a forum host and enjoys repeatedly posting links to recruit folks to their Hillary website that they often use to trash other DUers. This website has always had an issue with anti-social behavior, so hiding this post isn't going to miraculously solve that problem.
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Saying they have similarities isn't grounds for hiding. Perhaps you should ask the poster what the similarities are and then refute them if you can. Stop trying to limit discussion just because you don't like the direction it is going. Answer the post point by point or trash it on your own feed. DUers should not try to censor discussion.
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Not the best comparison but trying to make a point. No hide.
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #6 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Though I am not a Clinton supporter in the primary, this nonsense is over the top.
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given

Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.

7. Quisling alert
Sat Mar 12, 2016, 05:55 PM
Mar 2016

I will attempt to explain myself re. the Quisling comparison. Quisling was considered moderate before he became collaborator. It was considered at the time a pragmatic decision - Russia was considered by many to be a bigger threat to sovereignty than Germany, so he played both sides of the fence. The resistance movement won out in the end. Quisling did what was politically expedient, and his lack of backbone led to his name living on in infamy.

The debate is ongoing re. his culpability, and thankfully, history has no lessons to teach us if his bending to the political winds of the time had not been defeated. I have questions about Ms. Clinton's sincerity, as do many others. Hence the comparison.
