2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumSorry, I just don't believe these are Sanders' supporters at current Trump rally. Nope. Trump
just keeps repeating Bernie, Bernie, Bernie.... these people are Bernie people.
I swear they guy's shilling for Hillary.
He doesn't want to run against the guy that will beat him.
Wouldn't put it past him to have planted them himself.
Really trying to say "BERNIE" as many times as he can.

(10,794 posts)Are there ANY dirty tricks that haven't or won't be used in US politics at this point.
I say no.
It's now a winner takes all circus with all and any tricks allowed.
And so many keep on buying it and believing it.

(10,794 posts)you can't tell me Trump isn't loading the deck with his own paid disrupters now because it has gotten him so much more attention.
I've been alive and politically aware way too long to believe Trump isn't adding to and milking this protest activity.
I still remember similar tactics by the government at 1968 Dem convention.
Plants are simply a common tool now used by everyone.

(36,063 posts)Strong men crave civil turmoil that can be overcome by them as national 'saviors'.
So whether the protestors are real or plants, the effect is the same. The enemy is seen attacking Trump. His followers will rally, support him and be his vigilantes.
It's going down an ugly path.

(24,979 posts)Which is no surprise in Chicago.
Many of them walked into the arena of a public event and discovered they were in the majority.
No surprise.
Many of them are Bernie supporters.
No surprise.
Please let's help end the Chicago paranoia!

(7,607 posts)It doesn't matter to me because I wouldn't hold Bernie accountable for the actions of his most aggressive supporters. Trump, on the other hand, clearly encourages aggressive behavior from his supporters. A false flag operation conducted on his behalf would be no surprise. Trump caters to fear and hate and giving his supporters a chance to be "victims" of "disruptors" would fit his playbook perfectly.
I have both organized and attended a number of Bernie events. My general take on Bernie supporters is that they tend to err on the side of being too nice.
