I found a test that tells you which candidate you're best matched with.

Take the test and post your results. You click on the test, and on the left is an opinion to select how much you disagree or agree with an issue. You can also click for more detailed answers or additional questions about a topic.

Now my score:

Bernie Sanders 97%
Hillary Clinton 93%
Jill Stein 93%
Gary Johnson 71%
Donald "Rump" Trump 31%
Ted Cruz 14%

Click the link and don't forget to post your scores. (I am not affiliated in anyway with the website.)

Some of my answers didn't fall under Bernie's purview but I'm sure he'd agree. Under cut government spending I said "Yes" but I referenced the idea that I thought both DHS and the NSA should be closed down and have their duties folded into the CIA and FBI. I mean the DHS and NSA are totally unnecessary, especially DHS. DHS is a completely pointless government agency and is the perfect example of government defense agency bloat.

...said how important the issue was to you? As I'm sure folks noticed, there were more nuanced or in-depth responses in the list of "other stances." And there were additional questions in most categories. Also, you could indicate how important the particular issue in question is to you (least, less, somewhat, more and most). If people did all of those things, as I did, they'd likely get different results than if they only did the bare minimum. Also, if the candidates are only assigned "yes" or "no" (based on their platform or legislative history) but you gave more nuanced or specific responses, it would be a bit misleading to say you agree with them (since a simple "yes" is different than "yes, but only if...&quot .

Anyway, my results were as follows:

Even by answering all of the questions and choosing from among the nuanced responses, and ranking each topic by importance, these sorts of surveys are too simplistic. And if you only do the bare minimum (answering 'yes' or 'no' to a portion of the available questions), why even bother?

The ways that count are probably different between the two camps as well. They may be similar on some issues for the purpose of this test, but the test itself is pretty basic stuff. I ended up 91% for both Hillary and Bernie. I used the expanded "other" options about 50% of the time when my answer needed some nuance.

I'd happily vote for either but personally prefer Hillary because of her vast and varied experience. I also think that breaking another barrier is an important symbolic nail in the coffin of conservative, right wing policies.

I also do not understand why some people on both sides of the Hillary/Bernie contest get so freaking hysterical and personal in comments about the candidates and each other (basically acting like republicans).

Regardless of who wins the primary, let's all commit to enthusiastically supporting and voting for a Democrat.
