Larry David Returns as Bernie Sanders in Hilarious SNL Cold Open

Last edited Sun Mar 13, 2016, 01:16 PM - Edit history (1)

This week’s Saturday Night Live kicked off with a cold open that featured a rapid-fire round robin of mock CNN campaign coverage, featuring topical subjects like Friday’s endorsement of Donald Trump by Ben Carson.

The highlight, though, was the return of Larry David as Democratic presidential candidate Senator Bernie Sanders.

But the Hillary sketch was about the candidate and Bernie one was more about his supporters.

There were many stinging comments about Bernie supporters which is probably why there hasn't been much mention of it on DU today.

Group too; we tend to like it, even if it makes fun of us.

We can take a joke.

Tina Fey as Palin, Will Ferrell as W., Kate McKinnon and Amy Poehler as Hillary, Daryl Hammond as Trump and now Larry Sanders as Bernie have all left indelible impressions.

I did see the bit where he said "I'm great but not five posts a day great. To my supporters, get a life." Oh, how I loved that.
