Bernie Sanders packs them in Springfield MO.
You cannot find a stronger Republican strong hold than Springfield MO. So for at a 7:00 PM speaking engagement my daughter showed up at 2:00 PM and from a line of about (her estimate) 200 people did not get in until 5:00. By that time the line at Hammonds Center was out of sight. She is a millennial has her Graduate Degree and is gainfully employed she brought some of her peers who also work at the same Private University. From 5:00 the line coming in was continually being seated. By 7:00 PM when Sanders spoke the line was still coming being seated estimates were 5000. After he was finished Bernie went outside and spoke to the lines that did not get in. My daughter is a specialist in student public relations. The local media KY-3 TV reported at one time there were 500 people at the rally then upped it to 2000, and tried to make the point it was smaller than Ted Cruz who spoke at a venue that holds much less than Hammonds Center at Missouri State. I am getting some buttons and a T-shirt. I already have a smart well informed independent minded daughter that embraces the old fashioned Democratic values in a new way. Of the friends who came with her stood in line there were several converts to Sanders.
