Why Are Sanders Supporters So Rude?

Answer: We’re not rude. This is a myth propagated by people who don’t like Bernie Sanders and want to sabotage his campaign.

Question: Then how come I see Bernie Sanders’ supporters, those Bernie Bros, saying hateful things about Hillary Clinton on the internet?

to leave out labor and the concerns of the working poor for so very long. To join republicans in tax cuts with no wage growth, to join republicans in their hawkish designs for more war, and to take money from payday lenders and others who make a hard life even harder for workers on the lower end of the economic ladder. Life expectancy is actually falling for lower income working people, as we are being worked and squeezed and impoverished to death, so I think a certain amount of shaking the centrists by the collar is in order. I think centrists don't even understand how angry it makes people when they are told that they shouldn't be angry about these things.

Centrists live in reality instead of ideology and have some grasp of economics and political factors, like the fact that massive gerrymandering is going to make it very difficult to wrest control of Congress form the GOP this cycle, and that radical left-wing policies have some major deficiencies just as radical right-wing policies do. I'm center-left because I come from a country that's much more socialist than the US and I know about the downsides as well as the upsides, even as I advocate for the US to be a bit more socialist than it is.

Many Bernie fans (and socialists in general) are rude to the point that they turn people away instead of successfully communicating why a somewhat more socialist society would be a good thing. They are their own worst enemies, like most fundamentalists.

many working class people may not see the next election.
People are dying abroad because of right-wing and centrist abetted military crusades, they don't have time for incrementalism, either.
13 million people in the U.S. who may be displaced from environmental disruption due to global warming don't need a candidate who sells fracking around the world.
and I am free to vote for whomever I think best represents my interests.

You think I don't know people are dying of inequality? The problem I have with the ideological left is that many of their policy proposals are half-baked and they are willfully blind to examples of where or why some of their policy prescriptions simply do not work. I feel the same way about the hard left as I do about religious prosletyzers who deny science. Both groups sincerely care about the ills of the world and want to do good, but they don't want to learn anything outside of what they already believe.

You are much as I expected, A narcissistic Hillary supporter putting your feelings ahead of people who are voting for their lives. Speaking of denying science, what has a worse environmental record than war? Yet Hillary has all but promised to expand the theater of war to Iran. There is a growing consensus that no amount of fracking is safe, but in my state, people have to live with poison water, and children with respiratory distress due to methane flaring, and your candidate would like more of this. I am voting for the only scientifically literate candidate I have.

What I often see are Bernie supporters pointing out things Clinton has actually said or done, her patterns of supporting policies that hurt most Americans. To me, the things she's done are the 'nasty' things, and pointing them out is simply along the lines of making public photos of torture and abuse at Abu Ghraib. The photos are not the problem, the torture and abuse are.

Hate Springs Eternal
Paul Krugman FEB. 11, 2008

" I won’t try for fake evenhandedness here: most of the venom I see is coming from supporters of Mr. Obama, who want their hero or nobody. I’m not the first to point out that the Obama campaign seems dangerously close to becoming a cult of personality. We’ve already had that from the Bush administration — remember Operation Flight Suit? We really don’t want to go there again.

What’s particularly saddening is the way many Obama supporters seem happy with the application of “Clinton rules” — the term a number of observers use for the way pundits and some news organizations treat any action or statement by the Clintons, no matter how innocuous, as proof of evil intent."
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/02/11/opinion/11krugman.html?_r=1

Joan Walsh did lots of this material about Obama supporters, she's also rewording things a bit and using her 08 anti Obama stuff against Bernie. It's very sad to see the lack of originality as well as the obvious affectations of their outrage aimed each cycle at a new set of supporters they want to smear.
Same smears, different years.

before the electorate that require more urgent attention.

Among them:

Why was Jeb Bush living such an insular life that he believed U.S. Americans loved his brother's administration generally and the Iraq invasion particularly? Did Dubya keep us "safe" or did he keep us stupid?

Do enough U.S. voters supporting Donald Trump understand that when progressives call Trump a 'fascist' they are referring to a political operating philosophy based significantly in brutality and repression? And are they cool with that?

Why isn't Rick Snyder in jail?

Why isn't Ted Cruz in a locked psychiatric ward in a very remote location, under heavy sedation and in four-point restraints?

Is it not of more concern to U.S. establishmentarian politicians that the sea level is on the rise and intellectual acuity is on the decline?

Is Vince Foster actually still alive, kept prisoner in a basement in rural Arkansas?

Wait. Scratch that last question.

Which public servants and/or other citizens might be impaneled to devise a better primary election system for presidential cycles?

After the world witnesses this Republican primary season, will other nations still want to hang out with us on weekends?

How could the Republican Party get more Jon Huntsmans and fewer RubiosCruzesTrumpsCarsonsMcConnellsPencesSnydersPalinsetc (or is it far too late for that to be wished for, given the scorched-earth polarity of the current GOP)?
