My great post election hope.

I am a very superstitious person so this is an event I hope happens after the election. To use Toby Ziegler's phrase I will go outside, three times and spit.



Some date in late in November...


President elect Hillary Clinton holds a news conference with Vice President elect Julian Castro in the background where she nominates her candidate for Secretary of Labor....


"Members of the press my fellow Americans. It is a great honor to introduce the next United States Secretary of Labor, Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont...."

1. Why do you want Bernie Sanders in the Cabinet?

He'll be taking broad direction from President Clinton, which I assume most people here would find unacceptable. I'd assume you'd want him to remain in the (presumably Majority) Senate.

And I think reaching cabinet rank would be a great way for him to complete a distinguished public service career.

... why "borrow" from the Senate when Democrats (and those that caucus with them) need all we can get.

5. Well Vermont will likely have a Dem as governor. A Dem will be appointed to replace him.

in a Clinton Administration.

He'd remain in the Senate, where he could do some good.
