...from folks dismayed their choice lost the election.

What you do is your own responsibility. Most folks will gather their pride in the general and vote for the party choice that best represents them. Holdouts don't usually make as much as a ripple.

There is literally no metric for "votes not cast." None. Sitting home does not tell anyone anything about what you think.

People are free to use their vote as they see fit, but that individuality does not change what makes a good decision and what makes a bad decision. Not voting is always a bad decision.

Almost 60% of the 80% of people who voted didn't vote for the fascist. Hitler did get the most votes however.
