All 5 N. Mariana superdelegates announce support for Clinton after her caucus win

Before the caucus, only 1 has committed.

Hillary Clinton has picked up more superdelegates after winning the Northern Mariana Islands caucus.

The chairman of the Democratic Party there, Rosiky Camacho, says all five of the U.S. territory's superdelegates are now supporting Clinton over Bernie Sanders. Up to now, only one of them had endorsed Clinton while the others were uncommitted.

Superdelegates are party officials who can back any candidate they wish.

Camacho told The Associated Press that he and the others made their decision after Clinton won their caucus with 54 percent of the vote.

There's a decent argument for them following either the local or national votes, but if a super-delegate can just chose anyone they want, they then need to cease to exist. Unless you think any one person should have a vote equal to thousands of ordinary voters?

subvert the will of the peoples' choice.

Yet Howard Dean has proven that not all of them are honest, or believe in democracy, quote frankly he has been a purchased delegate that is subverting the will of the people.

I and others will have a very, very, large problem with a candidate that has to win by cheating the system via delegates not representing the population they are assigned to, either by purchase or threat. Such blatant undemocratic subversion of the voters' choice, should she win by such measures against a majority of real delegates that represent the people directly, will not only lose millions of votes in the GE, The party will lose millions more registered Democrats.

Such lack of democracy, placing the choice in the hand of those that can be bought or threatened or both, if blatant enough, WILL even have the potential to destroy the party.

You've got to love it. A national disgrace.

New York Times article about Northern Mariana Islands sweatshops and Chinese "indentured" servants:
