At 7:54 PM CDT, trained spotters reported a funnel cloud over downtown Springfield ... thunderstorm is moving northeast at 50 mph ... Tornado, radar indicated hail, 1.25IN.

My sister owns a coffee shop, and is currently huddled with workers in a shelter. My brother does not have a basement, and is trying to get somewhere. I just called my dad, and he does not have a basement, and lives in a north suburb where tornadoes are common, and will be sheltering a neighors home after he calls my brother to make sure he gets safe. As for the rest of my extended family - not really sure. But when you make comments like this, they aren't funny. There are real people on the other end of them, especially in central IL where tornadoes are common. So, Brooklynite - I hope you have a comfortable evening in your home watching returns and making smartass comments, while some of us worry if our families are safe.

BTW - congratulations to your candidate. You two most certainly deserve each other.
