(92,108 posts)Sorry, you lose. It doesn't, and this comment from a Clinton supporter says it best:

I won't go into the blame game that has filled up threads for some time now on DU against Clinton and her supporters, because that only feeds into your flame bait.

(92,108 posts)views, but in my view it would be more productive to push the continued fight for your candidate, and for the ideals of your candidate instead choosing to focus on the "gloating" by some of your opponents supporters.
GD reminds me of a story used to describe the situation middle east:
It is the story of a frog and scorpion who were trying to cross a river.
The scorpion couldn't swim and the frog was lost, so the scorpion proposed a deal: Give me a ride on your back and I'll show you the way.
The frog agreed and the trip went fine until they got to the middle of the river and the scorpion stung the frog. As they were sinking, the frog asked in his dying breath, "why would you do that?"
The scorpion replied, "because it is the Middle East."
Of course, I would have changed the ending in this case as the following:
"because it is the General Discussion rimary forum"

(11,014 posts)From now on, I'd love to see the desperate negative threads about Hillary picked up on RW sites. That makes the hopelessness palpable.

(14,177 posts)LOL they keep saying that. I myself have no intention of staying home. In a couple of days I join with some anti-war protesters and I will see how it goes from there.

(50,414 posts)If the usual Centrist/Moderate/not-as-bad/lesser-of-two-evils candidate loses the Left is blamed for the loss.
McGovern and the Left were blamed for McGovern's loss. The moderates who refused to vote for him are blameless.
Whereas, when Gore lost, Gore and the moderates weren't blamed but the Left was.

(35,015 posts)We may not like it, but they're going to scare the hell out of us so we'll vote for Hillary.
I am remembering reading about a phone call Bill Clinton made to Donald Trump, suggesting that he run for president.....

(14,177 posts)We can see the results in the number of delegates Hillary has despite most people saying she is not trustworthy.

(14,177 posts)I was looking at a chart of the traits of different supporters. Our people, those that support Bernie are fearless.

(35,015 posts)The more I think about it, makes perfect sense. Personally - I've lost everything and survived, and I'll be damned if I'm going to be manipulated by fear. I'm older though....I think millenials are fearless because they believe they won't have a future without a 'revolution'.
Our people cannot stop fighting even if Bernie loses. We must continue onward.

(14,177 posts)That is the exact attitude. It's like they must have children. I just don't see how they communicate with their kids with that attitude.
