I wish there was a phone number to call to make a donation for my favored candidate.

I don't like to post my credit card on-line. Every site I go to wants to accept donations via the web.
Call me old fashioned but it is just a quirk I have.

1. If you give your credit card number to someone on the phone

where do you suppose it goes? The person on the phone writes it down and enters it into a database and it is processed electronically over the Internet. It's no more secure that way than doing it online in the first instance. Maybe less.

There some random stranger will write down your credit card info and key it in online for you.

I wanted to use Act Blue for Bernie and pay by check.

I was told I had to use a credit card.

I am aware that I can send a check.

I have paid by check over the phone for numerous things,

but apparently Act Blue does not allow this.

If one is concerned about security w/credit cards, one could also get a prepaid credit card to use.
