Did Sanders campaign tank at the polls because of the melee at the Trump rallies?

Sanders supporters were very clearly part of the trouble at the Trump rallies.

There were the people chanting "Bernie! Bernie!" in Chicago

And an avowed Sanders supporter harged the podium at a Trump event.

Has the fact that Sanders supporters were directly involved in the problems been considered as to why Sanders tanked this week? It's a very real possibility that voters saw the face of the Revolution® and backed away from Bernie.

Almost. And another thing: Weren't Hillary supporters trying to claim it was them who shut down the Trump rally?

I think his expectations were a little inflated because people looked at what happened in Michigan, and reasoned that Tuesday's polls might be underestimating him as well.

As it turned out, the polls prior to Tuesday were right. Michigan turned out to be an outlier, rather than a sign of things to come.

The fact is that the March 15th results were expected and the contests favoring Bernie are coming up. Let's ask instead - why did HRC do so poorly in Michigan? Hillary's inability to unite the party has nothing to do with Bernie. It is because she is a liar with contempt for the electorate who will say anything to get elected. BUT the big money is behind her and that buys a lot of propaganda from a corrupt media. The Frackers and Monsanto folks will do anything they can to ensure the status quo continues. This corrupt system is a Goliath and Bernie is David.

and against the DWS corrupt party and against the dirty politics of Clinton machine, against election fraud and voter suppression: Bernie has done amazingly well. He fills stadiums with enthusiastic supporters while Hillary plays to empty bowling alley cafeterias.

So - yes. The challenge is huge but can be won.

Protesting at Trump rallies made any difference whatsoever.

I do think, however, that the general violence at Trump's rallies, and his subsequent response, scared the shit out of a lot of democrats this last week. It's possible that many of those who were leaning Sanders decided to go with who they thought (wrongly) has the better chance of beating Trump...the safer choice, if you will. Of course, polls have shown Bernie beats Trump more handily than Clinton.

I think the rallies though increased Trump's appeal with the base he is building.

A group of Bern fans caused a ruckus outside of a Trump rally and got pepper sprayed by the cops.

She won by 1500 votes or so. Did that make a difference?

Its interesting.
