(6,474 posts)....and yet the recent polls show Clinton with large leads. Even close upset wins by Sanders would doom his chances

(53,765 posts)It's wishful thinking on the part of people saying wouldn't she win New York.
DCBob
(24,689 posts)New York was supposed to be one of their big catchup states.
And it's his home state to boot. SO HUMILIATING.
Beacool
(30,247 posts)Hillary lives in NY and was one of its senators for 8 years, for goodness sake.
DCBob
(24,689 posts)if they ceded NY to Hillary there is no chance he could catch up.

(51,308 posts)So wonder what the new excuse will be?
MineralMan
(146,286 posts)That's the kind of wishful thinking that is based on a lack of information or sheer desperation, I think.
Bleacher Creature
(11,256 posts)Although thinking he'd win NY was sillier.
Codeine
(25,586 posts)I guess they don't realize we have a very effective party machine in this state and they're backing Madame Secretary.
MineralMan
(146,286 posts)I don't know what that exception to reality might be, really...

(49,376 posts)plan to dismantle the ACA.
MineralMan
(146,286 posts)Why some imagine a Bernie win there, I can't imagine. It won't happen. Fantasy in both states.
comradebillyboy
(10,143 posts)some very bad blood between the Clintons and Jerry Brown. I don't know how Gov. Moonbeam feels now.

Bleacher Creature
(11,256 posts)The funny thing is that this is the kind of margin Sanders would need in NY to catch up.

Twice, I actually got to cast my vote for her as Senator. She won those times, too.

(11,986 posts)...Emerson isn't a top-tier pollster. They're only ranked C+ by 538, and they called Iowa 51 to 43 for Hillary in a poll done right up to the wire (Jan 28 through Jan 31 for a Feb 1 contest). Still, they'd have to be off by a whole lot more than that to see anything good in this one. We'll have to see if anything happens to substantially shift things in the next month. One thing we've seen this year is that a lot can happen in a month...

Beacool
(30,247 posts)She was their senator for 8 years. The first woman that NY sent to the Senate. Bill has his office in NY. The Clinton Foundation is in NY. They live in Chappaqua. Chelsea and her husband live in Manhattan. They obviously have strong ties in the state.
She will also do well in my state of NJ. I also think that she will win PA. She won it by almost 10%in 2008.

(10,844 posts)im certain there would be a plan to get 99% of the remaining delegates and hypnotize the supers so they vote for Bernie. Because....revolution
