We Must Talk About Race to Fix Economic Inequality

What if I told you the single most important solution to economic inequality isn’t an economic policy, it’s tackling racism?

For the past 40 years, the right wing has peddled a winning strategy. It sells the economic agenda of the 1% to working- and middle-class white voters through a hidden formula: Fear People of Color ? Hate Government ? Trust the Market and the 1%

And they've been selling us this idea even as it has hurt Americans of all races whose wages have plummeted and economic insecurity has soared.

Until we get money out of politics we are never going to solve a single major issue in America. This primary is a perfect example of how the drones except it as ok. They actually think someone who has had $3 Billion over 30 years given to them would not be influenced by that. Even though there is clear voting records that show they changed their opinion on issue based on the money. Seriously how can anyone be so delusional to think money does not get the elected crooks to vote the way the donors want.

I did notice that President Obama mentioned campaign finance reform in his last state of the union.

if I were a skeptic, I might even think this whole kabuki of an election was a ploy to get the governing class free of the endless running around for cash so they can stay at the oh so nice buffet table of power and privilege without the annoyingly endless hunt for money.

I wish them well but not gonna happen without a transaction tax, and a huge shift in emphasis on the war machine as the engine of economic growth to domestic sectors that are needed to uplift the most vulnerable and at risk. A basic shift in mentality from the 'shoot all your problems' to 'take care and fix your problems' would be a great beneficial shift.
