(68,868 posts)And they're anti Semites to boot.
Counterpunch recently published a piece calling for southern voters to be treated as 3/5 of a person for the nomination process.
Nasty hate sheet with lots of nasty people writing for it--nasty like Ted Cruz is nasty.

(25,699 posts)As for Israel; Bernie may pay lip service to peace, yet he faithfully supports billions of dollars in foreign aid to Tel Aviv and has backed Bibi Satanyahu's murderous bombing of Gaza, both in 2014 and 2009. Several former members of Bernie's staff have even worked for AIPAC.
I ask you this because one of your fellow Hillary supporters decided that this rhetoric was fit to bring to us via a neo-nazi website called tomatobubble.
I also ask because, even if you do not find it appropriate, Bravenak certainly did.

(16,184 posts)That was absolutely no different than when Sanders supporters walk in here obsessing over the Clinton Foundation, emails, Benghazi, and any number of rightwing memes they think Clinton is going to face in the general.
CajunBlazer and bravenak are not antisemites. What's worse is you seem to want to make them look that way to draw attention from an appallingly racist attack against black Clinton supporters.
Come on, man, you're better than that.
Cassiopeia
(2,603 posts)You think Clinton will NOT face questions about the Clinton Foundation, emails, or Benghazi?
Not only will she face them, they will be in the media front and center as soon as the primaries are concluded.
Additionally we'll see daily updates on the state of pending indictments, real or speculation.
This is REALITY, not something in the past that will be ignored.

Look at the racist comments here. I did not know jews hated us blacks so much. Good to know. I will return it in kind. There are so few of them It's a wonder they have the gall to think about being racist against blacks.

(55,981 posts)Those that run around screaming "racist, racist" should look in the mirror. I think it's racist to use racism as a tool to lock, hide and ban those that don't agree with a certain worldview. A worldview that is dominated by a blind loyalty to a tough authoritarian leader.

(62,269 posts)The real litmus test of Sanders "support" will be how many OPs and threads people make for Sanders' rallies where he stumps for Clinton. How people will stop making smears against Clinton and her supporters because they would apply directly to Sanders himself.
Sanders will be going under the bus and the real Sanders supporters will be obvious.

(1,630 posts)assume there will be hostile and bigoted attitudes coming from the likes of the Republicans or Trump and company. When it emerges from one's own Party and particularly, from those who align with what they claim is progressive ideology, it hits much closer to home. When the very people upon whom you are supposed to depend turn out to be covertly and now, overtly, de facto racists, it forces you to reassess your relationships with them and what your Party stands for.
A literal textbook attitude of white supremacy surfaced from some Sander's supporters during the primary, in writing, for all the world to see. That is something everyone needs to examine and denounce and anyone who acts as an apologist is complicit. It has nothing to do with who did or did not win. To ignore it would be to remain in denial. Facing it head on is an act of bravery and realism and also the most important step in identifying and eradicating the problem. It is a process and one that is far more painful for the victims than the perpetrators. Bravnak is granting those who exposed the repellent underbelly of their characters a lot more opportunity to explain and absolve themselves than they probably deserve but the only way out is through. And for that, she has my admiration.
Peace

(3,803 posts)I think it was the taunting of the 'what stages of grief are the Bernie people in' that set this off
it was hurtful and unneeded; perhaps one shouldn't 'kick a dog when he's down' and then be surprise if he bites back.
I read the article, meh, made me think of Nina Simone...I could say the same thing about anyone in any relationship.

(6,007 posts)No one that I ever heard has ever said that all black people have stockholm syndrome. But what I have heard is media saying that Hillary won the black vote in the south. Is that saying Hillary won "an entire race of people's" votes in the south? Not at all.
They are describing a voting group as they always do for EVERY voting group. It is YOU who is making this a "thing". They say Bernie appeals to the young. HOW DARE THEY refer to an entire subset of the electorate?
And we have all wondered why the poor in the south keep voting in Republicans who will legislate AGAINST them. Is that saying everyone in the south who is poor is stupid? No, it is not. We have heard the reasons why people might question the voting of those people in the south, because it doesn't make sense to keep voting in these people. It is against their interests and any rational person would think that means they are lacking some information -- low information voters.
That is the same situation with this black voting group in the south. To try to make it something else is disingenuous.
