A whole lot of them seem like first timers when it comes to politics and they're not deciding their vote on anything remotely rational. The problem for Democrats happens if the "mainstream" GOP opts to vote for Trump over not voting or voting for the Democrat. Our voter turnout, so far, has been fairly miserable. Some people speculate that's because many Democrats don't care whether it's Hillary or Bernie so they won't vote until the general election. Let's hope that's the case.

I'm worried that the "boys in the smoke filled rooms" at the rethug convention will figure out a way to steal the nomination from Trump and hand it over to a so-called moderate like Kasich who would have a better chance in the general.

OTOH that would probably instigate a republican civil war and hopefully destroy that scumbag anti-american party forever.

this new group of tea baggers are in the same mold, just late comers to the cause.

And while obviously some "mainstream" repubs will support the party nominee even if its Trump, they are getting a lot of cover for abandoning Trump from the likes of mainstream repub columnists like Gerson, Rubin and even Will.
