Related: About this forumAirzona Republic Endorsement: Hillary Clinton has the experience to lead
...snip...
But she is also battle-tested, hardened by the fierce political infighting and partisanship that consumes political life in this country.
Her enemies, and they are legion, have sought to tear her down. But she is still standing, and on the cusp of the highest office in the land.
She has the mettle to be president. The sound judgment to be commander in chief.
For that reason, The Arizona Republic recommends when Arizonans vote in Tuesdays Democratic primary, they vote for Hillary Clinton.

(99,710 posts)How can a candidate who is trailing by 2, 538, 372 votes:

and 325 delegate behind:
http://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/election-2016/delegate-targets/democrats/
be in a "virtual dead heat"?
That is absurd as saying the Philadelphia 76ers are in a dead heat with the Cleveland Cavaliers for the best record in the NBA Eastern Conference:

edited to address: goofy complaint that 'article is 6 months old'... articles from 6 months ago are generally
best to use when demonstrating state of the primary race 6 months ago. SMDH

I had a psychiatrist tell me he had a client who took her toaster to work because she was afraid she didn't turn it off.
Thank God I never got to that point.

Yeah, he will win most homogeneous states that are sparsely populated...
I live in SoCal like you... Sanders will do well on the tony west side of L A. He will get crushed in South L A, East L A, and the non affluent suburbs of the SFV.
