2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumI watched the film Serpico the other night
and found it funny how money corrupts but those who take the money or benefit from the corruption sees no problems with it at all. It is just a part of the game so they say. Bernie does not take money just like Frank Serpico did not. Both men were/are slandered and ridiculed, Serpico took a bullet for being honest and straight forward. This may be a stretch to compare the two but I could not help but see the similarities and how some things never change.

(28,017 posts)Hillary is exactly like the dirty cops. Dishonest, yet not caring, or not even understanding her own wrongdoing.

(14,498 posts)Serpico is lucky to be alive. ( So, probably, is Bernie, for that matter.)
It extends to all fields of human activity. People blow the whistle; the system comes down on them HARD. REAL hard.
Too many people with their fingers in the till.

(98 posts)The degree to which the Democratic Party has savaged Sanders parallels the Serpico story. I've thought the campaign should use the comparison.
