Kind of hard to play with votes, stop counts, faulty machines........ When you have real live people showing their support in person
uponit7771
(90,335 posts)... Sanders isn't getting these people out to vote in states with more diverse electorate.
I'm still wondering how in the hell is a progressive revolution supposed to be for the most part racially and gender homogeneous

(11,366 posts)Bernie's getting that same crowd size despite being ignored by the media, marginalized by corporate Dems and fighting against an institutionalized front runner just FOR the nomination.
I expect any nominee to get big crowds.

(40,416 posts)And in case folks have not figured it out, there are a whole lot of highly Democratic states yet to vote.
I helped deliver my state for Bernie in a huge upset. And those rallies? Those are voters no matter how fast you spin.
And I cannot stand Hillary Clinton. She will get my vote in November if she gets the nod. But, I don't think she can win against any of the GOP candidates. She has little to no strength amongst independents.
Mark my words. Hillary may win the nod, but will likely lose in November.
Samantha
(9,314 posts)and she has figured out a good percentage of Sanders' voters will not be supporting her nomination. So she has taken her hard right in an effort to grab some Republican votes. Good luck with that.

(20,411 posts)that fact is that only 1 in 5 under 30 voted in the 2014 election - and only 1 in 4 in the last presidential election.
That demographic does not show up at the polls where it matters.

(15,139 posts)too busy attending fundraisers behind closed doors collecting big money from her wealthy base. I have no idea where all those votes are coming from or how she could possibly be connecting with voters. She offers nothing but the status quo in a year in which voters are itching for change. I suspect because of the media blackout of Bernie, there are Dems out there who think Hillary is the only serious candidate with a D after her name. If there's any enthusiasm for her, I haven't seen it. No bumper stickers. No yard signs. Mention her name and get either an indifferent shrug or a venomous tirade. Not a dream candidate by any means.

(5,792 posts)I truly believe votes have already been tampered with. But the more could cause their codes a problem.

(1,901 posts)It's like they don't quite understand that people who travel around to attend many rallies aren't representative of lots of unique voter or voters. It's sort of the trendy thing to do now with the college set, instead of following bands around, they're following Bernie around.

(1,901 posts)as dangerous as those Trump ones, but a lot of people who have several rallies under their belt is not translating to votes. Why is that?

(1,901 posts)Yup tons of groupies, and the private busing companies may indeed be getting yuuuge profits, after all Bernie is spending lots and lots of money in each state. Yuuuuuuuuuuuuge amounts in every state. Surely some of it is to get his followers to his rallies?
It's kind a weird statement to make on your part, as if people don't already know about how the campaign has been revving up the youth and college vote, since they have the time, interest and passion to go to rallies, if not to ya know, vote and stuff.

Good example.
Anything can be done with the votes with the right connections. Not so much when people make the actual effort to come to see their candidate unless their is true support support for the candidate.

(172 posts)Those that weren't there should not prognosticate. It took 15 minutes to get to the end of the line an hour before doors opened. The arena held 17K but they had to cut off people coming in to allow Bernie to speak, so it was not completely full, but hundreds more on the floor chanting and dancing instead of butts in seats. There was an overflow area that had thousands more outside for those not allowed in. Last hurrah my a**. He is going to take this state big along with idaho oregon and utah. There were lots of volunteers walking the line making sure everyone knew their caucus locations and date and time. Great ground game. It was amazing.
