Many Bernie supporters posts are indistinquishable from Rabid Right McCarthyist attacks of HRC

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by one_voice (a host of the 2016 Postmortem forum).

Here's an excellent example of McCarthyism: unsupported charges & demonization of HRC and her suppporters

I always knew that Hillary had it in her

Blatant demagoguery. Wild accusations devoid of any substance.

her willingness to corrupt our political system by allowing corporations to buy her and own her votes.

More unsupported nonsense and branding anybody who supports her as being animated only by evil intentions... demagoguery usually identified with the GOP. This is why I've said in the past that it's hard to tell posts of Bernie supporters from the Rabid Right who are attacking Hillary to help Bernie get nominated so the GOP be victorious in the fall.."We'll win every state if Bernie's their nominee."

What I never knew is that there were so many sell outs and denial artists within our own party--who would cheerlead what we all once fought against. Democrats on DU were unified against the neocons and against corporate corruption. I always thought that it would be the Republicans and their followers who would lead us all into more wars and in the corporate takeover of our party.

Rhetoric indistinquishable from the Demagoguery practiced by the Rabid Right...

Republicans aren't just hoping Bernie will be the Democratic nominee for president. They are pitching in to help him!
Republican PACs such as America Rising and American Crossroads, co-founded by Karl Rove as well as Sean Spicer, chief Strategist and spokesman for the RNC, are putting up ads and tweets attacking Clinton and promoting Sen Sanders. It's called picking your candidate, whereby a political party campaigns for the candidate they would rather face in the election.

Bernie Sanders Supporters Must Stop Repeating GOP Lies About Hillary Clinton

Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders have shown a lot of professionalism towards each other as they compete for the Democratic nomination. In comparison to the shitshow that is the GOP race, Clinton and Sanders look like responsible adults discussing issues imperative to the future of Democrats and liberal policies.

~~
~~

I belong to a number of pro-Bernie Sanders groups on social media, and the sheer volume of anti-Hillary posts by individuals from conspiracy or conservative websites is staggering. These people link Breitbart, Infowars, March Against Monsanto, The Daily Caller and other websites to make their claim that Hillary Clinton is the worst person ever – or that President Obama was a gay prostitute in his younger days.

As I have repeatedly stated before, I am a Bernie Sanders supporter, despite our minor differences on science and genetic technology. I switched from No Party Affiliation to Democrat for the first time in years, simply so that I could vote for Bernie.

~~
~~

Now I stand with Bernie Sanders, but I’m imploring fellow supporters to level their criticisms of Hillary Clinton based on well-reasoned arguments involving policy, rather than some blog from a conservative website which was designed to be shared in multiple social media groups by people who don’t check their facts before posting.

If you do not take pragmatism, reason and fact-checking into consideration before voicing your opinion – the GOP is counting on exactly that for a win in November

... this is from a Bernie supporter who pretty much agrees with my assessment of many Sanders supporters posts.

I'll acknowledge that, as in all campaigns and movements involving millions of people, there are people who go off half cocked.

But how many posts that raise legitimate questions, critiques about Clinton and the larger issues have I seen characterized as "smears" and "right wing propaganda" or "conspiracy theories" on DU and elsewhere?...Answer -- a lot.

No Clinton is not a member of the Illuminati. (at least I don't think so.) But she sure has a lot of worrisome backers and supporters and allies if one cares about seperating government from the inyterests of Massive Corporate Monopolists ande Wall St banksters. According to Hillary supporters on DU Bernie is Israel's #1 shill, a pro-Israel Marxist, an old crusty jew, a diehard communist, who belonged to a Soviet-sympathizing kibbutz, a pro gunner that thinks women enjoy being raped, that we should abolish pedophilia or rape laws, is a racist, condescending motherfucker, gun nut, draft dodger, scheming little sneak, socialist throwback jackass, drooling, sweating old fool, scumbag, pandering phony braggart with some kind of emotional instability, tool for the NRA, Republican man with his head between women's legs, who protects the minutemen militia, pedophiles, racist cops, has rape fantasies, thinks that orgasms prevent cancer, wants the guns in the streets, is trying to suppress the black vote, has a nest egg in Israel, is supported by Stormfront and whose supporters are groomed by psychopaths.*

You're welcome.

*note to jury: the op asked for evidence of my "interpretation" with links and I provided some. By posting vile GOP smears and claiming it's for "educational" purposes they are passive aggressively endorsing them.

In my opinion anyone who repeats those kinds of things secretly believes them but won't come right out and say so.

When it's done to Obama I feel the same way.

mostly out of context. She willfully takes things out of context. Zero credibility, and that's being kind. I'm on my phone, but can explain later.

You are right! This irrational Clinton hatred here is worse than RW crap.

Such vile smears and anti-Semitic bigotry on a liberal board, it's shameful.

And don't even get me started on the hate speech that was posted on other sites.

Let me know when my fellow Sandernistas start calling her a lesbian, a communist, a witch (yes, a real witch, not speaking figuratively), a Muslim sympathizer, a Zionist tool, and worse. I realize you think these accusations are unfair toward your candidate, but they are a far cry from what you will hear from the real right wing. The primary objection to Clinton is that she takes money from corporate interests, and does favors for them in return, in contravention of traditional Democratic values. This pales in comparison to what the right wing says about her. As you are about to discover.

All you gotta do is provide some evidence: "and does favors for them in return". Otherwise you're engaging in McCarthyism, demonization and demagoguery... all antithetical to our system of jurisprudence based on evidence and which threatens our Democratic system of government.

Several that made me scratch my head. I've seen a couple of weird ones from Hillary supporters too, such as that at Bernie's age, he's been able to accumulate a nest egg of a million dollars, and how that's supposedly a bad thing or weird or something.

62. It is a bit worrisome that a certain segment of democrats feel that way about Clinton.

Does the blame fall on democrats who voice concerns, or on Clinton herself?

I am worried about this election because I don't particularly find Clinton to be in line with my beliefs and am concerned about her strong-arming the democratic party into some very poor policy choices. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (who worked on Clinton's '08 campaign) has started opening up the party to issues I don't particularly agree with either (See: cozying up to payday lenders).

So... There's probably some legitimate concern. Should our party be immune from criticism?

With regards to specific passages in your post I am concerned about how much money Clinton took from Wall street. She has touted the Frank-Dodd act as something that has done a great job at reining in the banking sector, but the Frank-Dodd act was written with heavy influence from bankers. I work in an industry that works with lending institutions and have seen just how toothless it can be at times. The rich wield their power to fuck the little guy over time and time again it seems. That's why I have tremendous doubts about Clinton.

while nothing you have posted actually proves your premise, by its own definition and label. is remotely accurate...let alone slightly correct...

you are offering a strawman with no straw...which is merely an empty shirt, a pair of pants, and a hat...

all i can surmise is that you must have gotten tired of arguing with yourself...
