Key Findings
The March 2016 Franklin & Mars
hall College Poll of Pennsyl
vania registered voters
reveals stark party differences
in the presidential nominati
ng contests. The Democratic
presidential primary race in Pennsylvania ha
s changed little since Ja
nuary. The poll shows
Hillary Clinton with a sizable lead over Bernie
Sanders, 53% to 28%, which is consistent with
her leads in January and February. The poll al
so shows that both candidates are considered
favorably by registered Democr
ats. On the other side, t
hough, the Republican presidential
primary race continues to shift.
Donald Trump (33%) leads, as he has since October, but John
Kasich (30%) is now a close se
cond. Unlike registered Democr
ats, registered Republicans do
not have uniformly positive fee
lings about their candidates.
Hillary Clinton currently hol
ds a double-digit lead over both Donald Trump (46% to
33%) and Ted Cruz (45% to 35%) in Pennsylva
nia. The Republican candidates are deeply
unpopular among Pennsylvania’
s registered voters.

to poll these days, with laws against cell phone solicitation and everyone using answering machines to screen out junk calls on land lines. The only people who reliably answer are lonely or old bored people, and they use models with a lot of assumptions to predict what the rest of the people think.

Pollsters don't leave messages.

I doubt I'm remotely unique in this policy, either...
