Top Columbia U Professor: Hillary Is A Danger to World Peace, Ruined Syria Peace Plan

Top UN Advisor: Hillary A Danger to World Peace, Lied about UN Treaty, Ruined Kofi Annan's Peace Plan in Syria

Hillary Clinton and the Syrian Bloodbath

by Jeffrey D. Sachs

At Milwaukee Debate, Hillary Claimed:

But I would add this. You know, the Security Council finally got around to adopting a resolution. At the core of that resolution is an agreement I negotiated in June of 2012 in Geneva, which set forth a cease-fire and moving toward a political resolution, trying to bring the parties at stake in Syria together.

Except, Hillary was blatantly lying:

Dr. Jeffrey Sachs notes
:

This is the kind of compulsive misrepresentation that makes Clinton unfit to be President.

Clinton's role in Syria has been to help instigate and prolong the Syrian bloodbath, not to bring it to a close.

In 2012, Clinton was the obstacle, not the solution, to a ceasefire being negotiated by UN Special Envoy Kofi Annan.

It was US intransigence - Clinton's intransigence - that led to the failure of Annan's peace efforts in the spring of 2012, a point well known among diplomats.

Despite Clinton's insinuation in the Milwaukee debate, there was (of course) no 2012 ceasefire, only escalating carnage.

Clinton bears heavy responsibility for that carnage, which has by now displaced more than 10 million Syrians and left more than 250,000 dead......

It feels to me like the majority of Americans couldn't give a fig about the carnage in Syria, about the willful destruction of that country in pursuit of the great geopolitical game. It sickens me to my core - makes me sick to my stomach that my taxes support this repellent and utterly immoral policy that willfully and flippantly visits death and destruction upon others. I will never vote for any candidate who is party to regime-change games in the middle east or anywhere in the world.

With her foreign policy record she is not fit to be commander and chief.

10. Not the case. Certainly not in Libya. Obama was loathe to intervene in Libya, but HRC pushed for it,

against everyone's better wisdom; she totally owns Libya; she was also the one who pushed to arm "friendly" rebels in Syria. They turned out to be not so friendly; in fact, they took our $500 million worth of training and weapons and flaked.

Her much larger role in Syria is also coming to light via the emails released. They show her urging regime change in Syria as a way to remove a Shiite ally of Iran, to aid Israel.

Besides this, she obstructed the earlier peace process, and due to her actions, thousands have been wounded or killed, and millions are refugees.
