It's been noted that the Washington Post is heavily biased for Clinton. For instance their 16 anti-Sanders stories in 16 hours. So I shouldn't have looked at their front page headline, because it pisses me off:

Sanders wins Democratic caucuses in Alaska, Washington state

The senator from Vermont is also favored in Hawaii, but he still isn’t expected to significantly dent Clinton’s delegate lead.

Seriously?! Gaining about 55 delegates on Clinton from those two states (with Hawaii still coming) isn't making a "significant dent?!" If he has a landslide win in Hawaii too, as many expect, he could cut her 300 pledged delegate lead by close to one-fourth in a single day! If winning with 72% of the vote in Washington and 81% in Alaska aren't landslide wins, I'm curious what would be for the Post. That's the same headline the Post could have run if Sanders would have won each state by only a few points.

Then, the actual article is even worse. There's NO mention of the size of margin of his victory, no actual numbers reported, no information on the number of delegates gained. There are only a few vague mentions of the fact he won, without using any adjectives like "big" or "landslide":

Sen. Bernie Sanders scored victories in the Democratic caucuses in Washington and Alaska on Saturday, two of three contests held in Western states that the independent senator from Vermont was favored to win.

The delegates he would capture in a sweep would dent but not seriously damage front-runner Hillary Clinton’s lead in the race for the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination. Winning all three states would, however, buoy his insurgent challenge, as the contest moves back to large, delegate-rich states in the Midwest and Northeast.

So the implication is he gains some momentum, but he was expected to win the states anyway. Compare that to the opening paragraph of CNN's headline article:

Bernie Sanders has won the Democratic caucuses in Alaska and Washington, according to CNN projections, on what is a big day for the Vermont senator's efforts to catch up to Hillary Clinton.

Note how that's a direct contradiction: CNN says Sanders made major progress catching up to Clinton, and the Post says he didn't.

I feel dirty after reading such slanted reporting from what used to be a highly respsected newspaper.

3. Watched NBC News

tonight and all they reported was that Sanders won both states. They didn't give the % that he won. It's amazing that Bernie won so big in those states with the lack of honest coverage by the corporate media. Truly amazing. That fact alone should scare the shit out of them. They are no longer relevant.

I think the margin of the victories should shock people who buy the line that Clinton has this wrapped up.

If the WaPo was biased for Sanders the narrative would be about how Clinton peaked too soon and now is losing badly in state after state. Short of cash and support, the Clinton campaign is rationing their efforts to try and hang on until the Convention.

16. Let's compare with The Guardian: Sanders CRUSHES Clinton

Here's how The Guardian reports the exact same news:

Sanders defeated Clinton in Washington’s caucuses 75% to 25% and 79% to 21% in Alaska’s, with about 38% and 72% of the states’ precincts reporting.

Note how the Guardian is not afraid to prominently report the actual voting numbers, as opposed to the Post, which didn't mention the margins of victory at all!

No results from HI yet. The problem for Sanders is that Hillary is predicted to do quite well in NY, NJ, PA and MD. All closed states where Hillary tends to do better than Sanders.

Nonetheless, two good wins tonight for Sanders, possibly three.

A lot of reports of delegate numbers are behind the actual election results. Sanders should get 50 or more delegates than Clinton in Washington, plus another 10 in Alaska. Plus, he's supposed to do well in Hawaii. If he has a similar landslide in Hawaii, he could gain on her about 75 delegates from the day's results. That would cut her 300 delegate lead by exactly one-fourth in a single day, to about 225!

I think that's incredible. It was my best case scenario. He's still a longshot, but a lot less long than yesterday.

I chose to leave a comment that reminded them that Bernie took AK by more than 80%-20%, WA 70%-30%...and they chose the crummy headline, "Sanders takes two states, Clinton retains lead". Smells like corporate America has their talking points.
