Related: About this forumClinton Campaign: Bernie Sander better watch his "tone" if he wants another debate.
http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/presidential-races/274470-clinton-aide-new-york-debate-depends-on-tone-of-sandersThe pair faced off in a Miami debate earlier this month, and a Sanders campaign letter on Sunday said the two campaigns had agreed to a California debate in May but had not agreed to terms on a debate in April, according to The New York Times.
"What's the risk?" CNN's Kate Bolduan asked Monday, pressing multiple times about agreeing to a debate in New York.
"There's no risk. She's done very well in the debates," Benenson responded.
"Sen. Sanders doesn't get to decide when we debate, particularly when he's running a very negative campaign against us," he continued.
"Let's see if he goes back to the kind of tone he said he was going to set early on. If he does that, then we'll talk about debates," Benenson added.

(68,868 posts)this won't satisfy those who have no intention of voting for her, but that's not a major concern right now

(1,019 posts)I suspect he's whining like this because of that minuscule cash-on-hand number from the last round of reporting. You can't spend like a drunken sailor the whole primary without consequences. Sounds like the Sanders campaign can't afford as much NY advertising as they'd like, and want to get some for free.
Nope.

(5,946 posts)what he didn't? oh maybe it was when he talked about her being senile with unicorns and stuff! What he didn't? he talked about her real and documented connections to wall street !!!! thed never of that guy making it so personal!

(4,640 posts)I see no reason why she should debate him at a time and place of his choosing, because he demands that it be so. That's just silly.

(46,436 posts)So Clinton's campaign sees shedding light on Hillary's record as negative campaigning? Desperation.

(45,319 posts)as to claim Ronald Reagan did all the work done by brave activists in the early days of AIDS, nothing could be more negative than that. I think she's afraid of airtime, she knows she might burst out into praise of Bush or something.

(47,209 posts)I don't get it? Maybe they just wanted people to be aware Sanders is going negative, after claims were made he never would? I dunno.

(24,411 posts)That was their agreement.
Remember, when Hillary decided that she needed more debates, because she was dropping in the polls and losing states?
Bernie agreed, but only if there were several more debates. Both sides hammered out an agreement that there would be more debates, including a debate in April, one in May and one in June.
Clearly, he's calling her out on her refusal to hold a debate in New York.
I LOVE IT that he went public with to expose the fact that she's afraid to debate in New York.
So...now the Clinton camp is trying to backtrack on their original agreement. Now the Clinton camp is saying the if Bernie is a good boy, that they will talk about more debates.
These jerks all ready agreed to these debates.
If Clinton continues to act like a petulant child, I think Bernie should just say FU and debate Trump in New York.
