Clinton Campaign: Bernie Sander better watch his "tone" if he wants another debate.

http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/presidential-races/274470-clinton-aide-new-york-debate-depends-on-tone-of-sanders

After winning a trio of states over the weekend, Sanders on Sunday called for a debate in New York ahead of that state's April 19 primary. The Vermont senator is looking to cut into Clinton's delegate lead and says he has the "momentum" heading into the latter half of the race.

The pair faced off in a Miami debate earlier this month, and a Sanders campaign letter on Sunday said the two campaigns had agreed to a California debate in May but had not agreed to terms on a debate in April, according to The New York Times.

"What's the risk?" CNN's Kate Bolduan asked Monday, pressing multiple times about agreeing to a debate in New York.

"There's no risk. She's done very well in the debates," Benenson responded.

"Sen. Sanders doesn't get to decide when we debate, particularly when he's running a very negative campaign against us," he continued.

"Let's see if he goes back to the kind of tone he said he was going to set early on. If he does that, then we'll talk about debates," Benenson added.

I suspect he's whining like this because of that minuscule cash-on-hand number from the last round of reporting. You can't spend like a drunken sailor the whole primary without consequences. Sounds like the Sanders campaign can't afford as much NY advertising as they'd like, and want to get some for free.

Nope.

Mon Mar 28, 2016, 02:35 PM
Mar 2016

That was their agreement.

Remember, when Hillary decided that she needed more debates, because she was dropping in the polls and losing states?

Bernie agreed, but only if there were several more debates. Both sides hammered out an agreement that there would be more debates, including a debate in April, one in May and one in June.

Clearly, he's calling her out on her refusal to hold a debate in New York.

I LOVE IT that he went public with to expose the fact that she's afraid to debate in New York.

So...now the Clinton camp is trying to backtrack on their original agreement. Now the Clinton camp is saying the if Bernie is a good boy, that they will talk about more debates.

These jerks all ready agreed to these debates.

If Clinton continues to act like a petulant child, I think Bernie should just say FU and debate Trump in New York.
