Does anyone else find it a bit weird...

To watch Hillary champion President Obama and his accomplishments in almost every speech she gives, when she ran one of the nastiest primary campaigns in 2008 against Obama. She and her husband did almost everything they could to try and tear down Obama. Now of course she acts like they have always been in lockstep. She makes it seem like she has the most in common with President Obama and that Bernie Sanders is an outsider, always pointing out that he is an Independent and not a Democrat. I also find it weird when she goes after Sanders for having taken an opposing viewpoint against Obama and criticizes him relentlessly for that, but forgets that she was one of his biggest critics before it became advantageous for her not be.

Just hard to watch.

Obama and her got over the contentious '08 campaign rather quickly, and she helped him get elected and then served as SoS.

I just wish she would stop trying to make it seem like she has always been President's Obama's biggest supporter. She champions the Affordable Care Act on the campaign trail like it was her idea, and she hammered him on it even after she lost the primary.

She's been a big supporter of Obama since shortly after the primary ended in 2008. And regarding ACA, the plan that Obama passed resembled her primary platform more than his: remember, his original plan didn't include the individual mandate. She's been fighting for universal healthcare her entire career, and Obama knows and praises her for this.

The same thing Sanders is doing. Sanders believes that ALL Americans should have access the free healthcare, not just Affordable heath Care. That was a position that Hillary took when her husband were in the white house and Sanders and many others stood behind her. So it just seems hypocritical. And yes Obama did model parts his ACA based off of earlier proposals not just from Hillary but many other high profile Dems, including Sanders. I guess my point is that I see Hillary supporting much of the same status quo that many other corp Dems support, while Sanders envisions tearing down many walls that keep us from truly coming a progressive culture and fair economic system that would be the envy of the rest of the world.

And she believes, as do I, that given where we are now, single payer is not the most effective route there.

I know that's a strange concept for those that believe in idolizing their leaders. Authoritarian worship.

I don't remember anything from the Clinton campaign against Obama quite as personal in a nasty way as I see from Sander's supporters here and around the Internet. She was running in a Presidential primary just like Bernie right now but his campaign seems quite a bit more negative than hers.

Despite the contentious campaign in 2008, President Obama appointed Clinton to one of the most important cabinet positions. Not everyone holds grudges forever.
