What a Hillary superdelegate has to live with thanks to you guys....

EDITED TO ADD: Make up your mind, guys. It's a given that I suck for posting this, but do I suck because I shouldn't accuse people on DU of doing such a horrible thing, or do I suck because it's a good thing?

Jared Polis (D-CO) got this with his takeout order. And this is one of the kinder messages he's gotten.

The American public and his constituents have the right (inalienable) to petition their elected representatives to respond to their grievances. If Rep. Polis considers the very polite note in the OP to be intimidation and bullying, he's too weak-livered to actually hold elected office. I get more-intimidating mail regularly as an appointed Conservation Commissioner of the Town of B________ and a sworn conservation official of the state of CT. (People get really upset over the preservation or culling of trees in the state forest; trail improvements and remapping; land conservation and historic preservation; and farm regulation. If there's a more boring job in holding political office, I don't know what it is.)

If Rep. Polis wants to not be addressed and contacted about his convention vote as a superdelegate, he has options:

1.) He can resign his seat and thus his superdelegate vote. (Not realistic, I'd think he was an idiot if he did this...but it is an option and I'm going to cover all options.)

2.) He can declare his intention in writing to the DNC chair to abstain his superdelegate vote and have a copy printed in the newspaper of the largest circulation in his district. Interestingly, there are rules and bylaws for this...it's an immediate and non-reversable action. He would have no superdelegate vote at the convention. Doing so would lower the total number of delegates needed to secure the nomination by 0.5, which rounds to 1. It would remove any reasons for any campaign's supporters to write him...he'd have the same 1 primary vote in his precinct for the nomination as every other registered Democrat.

3.) He can change his intended vote. I then expect Clinton supporters would start lobbying him to switch back.

4,) He can state that he's not going to be swayed and there is no point in anybody trying to lobby him to their side. This probably deters nobody.

5.) He can accept that this is part of his job, the same as all those letters he and every other representative to attempt to persuade him to their position on pending legislation or governmental actions.

Men, women, young, old, white, POC..."you guys" need to stop lumping all Bernie supporters together into one ugly unrealistic stereotype.

Besides, if you haven't noticed, there's more snark being dealt by the Hillary crowd these days, just audit a few posts, you'll see. "You guys" are behaving as poorly, if not more.

On top of that, super delegates, IMO, undermine the democratic form with an authoritarian bent, as close to 60% of them are DNC.

There are quite a few people talking about 'primary-ing' Bennet from the left, not this time, but next time he runs, and he's not the only one. People here are the same as people throughout the USA. We're tired of politicians getting elected, doing some socially liberal things that don't address our kitchen table issues, and then passing laws (like the TPP fast track) that will cost us millions of jobs. Just like NAFTA, CAFTA and GATS. Did you know that the provisions in GATS are what kept Obama and the Dems from passing Single Payer in 2009 when they could have?

HOW, HOW, HOW is this any good at all for you and I?????

I want my tax dollars used for stuff that actually benefits me, not domestic spying, forever war, war on drugs, privatized prisons and military mercenaries. All that is utter shit as far as any benefit my family might glean from it.
