HA Goodman's got some competition!
Nobody can deny that HA owned the "King of the Kooks" title for most of this primary season. His specialty was ludicrously wrong predictions: Hillary would come in third in Iowa, Bernie would walk all over her on Super Tuesday, etc.
But all dynasties come to an end, and there are some promising nutcases that are nipping at his heels. My money is on one of these three to unseat him:
Seth Abramson. This is the assistant professor of English who demonstrated the importance of a well-rounded education by penning a hilarious article claiming that Bernie was actually winning. I'd advise him to take some math classes, but before doing that, please write some more entertaining pieces like that.
Susan Sarandon. She raised the bar by going on national television and advocating for Donald Trump under the pretext of Marxist/Leninist accelerationism: Trump will make "the revolution" come more quickly. And let's face it, nothing says "proletariat" quite like owning a nightclub that charges $30 for a half-hour of ping-pong. Vsia vlast' Sovetam!
The "sane progressive." Isn't it great when nutjobs have a sense of irony? The "sane progressive" is a perpetually outraged woman who peddles youtube conspiracy theories from her bourgeois suburban home. And they are a work of art. The looniness starts out constrained, and then there's a crescendo which culminates in glorious climax of incomprehensible nonsense. If you have five minutes, check it out. And if you have one minute, just skip to the good part.
Did I miss anyone? The primary's not gonna last much longer, so anyone who's trying to make a name for themselves in the field of loco for Bernie better move quick!
