Who is else is reading "Listen Liberal" By Thomas Frank?

It explains what is so wrong with the Democratic party today. It is not by accident that the working class no longer identifies with Democrats. The party no longer wants to be associated with them. They consider their to be the "professional" class, and for all intent of purpose is the 1960s Republican party.

Another point made by Frank is how the leadership of today's party is exclusively from ivy league background and lack of diversity of thinking. I looked at the current Obama cabinet. Of the 20 cabinet posts, 12 are from Harvard/Yale. Of the top 6 posts (President, VP, SOS, Defense, Treasury, and Attorney) only Biden doesn't belong to the Yale/Harvard club.

Sorry to say it folks, but its "It's a big club and you ain't in it".

Are you saying minorities are more represented by those with views coming from ivy league towers such as Harvard/Yale? Or they are more inclusive of the professional class that includes Doctors, Scientists, Engineers, etc?

It is a very important book, not kind to Clinton or Obama. It is a very insightful book on
the current state of the Democratic Party and how it has failed its primary constituents.

For example why I never hear them ever talking about the poor or working class. They always use the term "middle class" which is not very well defined term. But if you remember the tax cut debates, the cutoff for some reason was always $250K, and I always thought that was a bit too high for middle class. Why not make it $100K and less since that would cover even the upper middle class.

But "their" middle class includes those making $250K. That is the base after all.
