Mitt Romney went to the races today, and instead of putting his pedal to the metal, seems to have put his foot in his mouth.


Asked by a reporter from the Associated Press about whether or not he follows NASCAR, Romney reportedly responded "Not as closely as some of the most ardent fans," he said, continuing, "But I have some friends who are NASCAR team owners."

30-whatever and very single, while most of his counterparts have toddlers ... in fact during the rain break they interviewed Jamie MacMurray and he mentioned that earlier in the week him, Matt Kenseth and (I think?) Ryan Newman went to Disney and while their wives all went off in one direction, the guys were stuck with the kids, strollers, diaper bags etc ...

NASCAR is very family oriented so for Jr to be so un- attached is kind of odd.
