Companies are doing better these days. They're trying to scare their employees by using their jobs. Nice bunch of people, aren't they?

A few of the companies mentioned strike me as notable - in particular - Xerox . . .

Some of the disappointing revenue is because of weakness in foreign markets. Multinational companies are having a hard time selling to Europe, which is struggling under a debt crisis and a spreading recession.

The red-hot growth enjoyed by emerging markets like China and India is also slowing, and many businesses that had relied on growth there to offset weak U.S. consumer demand are being forced to come up with new strategies.

"The recession in Europe is very real," said Bernard Schoenfeld, senior investment strategist for Bank of New York Mellon Wealth Management in New York. "It's not going to disappear very quickly, and it will certainly negatively affect earnings of exporters in the United States."

It's weak trade with depressed economies(Europe), consumer fear abroad, etc. etc.

Contrast those with Verizon and Verizon Wireless. Never been better - and huge push to do even more in Q4.

Clearly, they are tanking the economy, with the Republican's help, on purpose.

in the next couple of weeks. I've already noticed in the last few days, the prices have dropped at least 10 cents a gallon.

While republicans have certainly done what they can to depress the economy here hoping to turn it to their advantage things are still uncertain in Europe and elsewhere which is beyond anyones control.
