Why haven't we heard in MSM that this is a tactic that the Hillary camp is employing? The only place I've seen or heard anything about Hillary using 'white noise' is here on DU. Why isn't this a bigger story?

The other thing I did hear however, is two AA's talking saying that anytime Bill or Hillary talk about POC - they call it 'white noise'.

I saw a lot of people claiming that it was a lie and people would claim that "it didn't happen." When people would post links to the youtube videos the goalpost was moved to, "That was just heavily edited video, they could have added in that static noise afterwards."

I know Thom Hartmann has a great quote about how it's impossible to convince people of anything when their finances require them to think otherwise. I think that's one of the major reasons why it's become so hard to have any sort of rational discussion with people who have differing views.

19. Exclusivity
Wed Apr 13, 2016, 11:54 AM
Apr 2016

People who put up money for political campaigns are, by and large, suckers. They don't get much for their investment and they never get all of what they want.

But what it is easy to give is the illusion of exclusivity, the promise that for their investment of time and money, donors get something special that nobody else gets. They get to pretend that they are on the inside. They probably got a solid prediction of something about to happen, which will confirm their support down the line when it comes true.

Since Mitt Romney self-destructed by telling a flattering lie to his own supporters, it has become even easier to deliver exclusivity. Turn on the noise maker and deliver the same message in a low, conspiratorial tone. The donors think they got something special and the opposition wastes time and effort trying to discover what she said.

There really are things that a Presidential candidate cannot safely say to the public. You can't say that a state is in the bag, like New York is for Mrs. Clinton, because that will cost votes in all remaining states. You can't say that caucuses are your weak points, because that invites people to ask why that is. You can't tell supporters that you have begun shifting over to working on the general election because you'll offend voters in the remaining primary states.

Such things shouldn't be said, but if you get caught saying them, it's not the end of the world, either. So that's the sort of pap you feed the big-ticket donors in return for their support.

Not girls out leader. She is giving speeches to different groups all around the country. Why is she so concerned that she doesn't want her speeches to be heard by reporters.

We are not talking about private conversations. There is a difference. Hide transcripts and white noise at speeches........

She doesn't like to talk about her WHOLE record and when she does talk about her record she does a lot of rearranging of the facts. She won't release supposedly harmless transcripts of speeches to close to 20 corporation with ties to Wall Street. Now white noise at her speeches? There seems to be an underlying common characteristic to Hillary Clinton's behavior. Stupid topic? I don't think so.

made a choice to deal with but they have also thrived and become multi millionaires many times over.

"Self absorption is defined as caring only about one's own self and one's own activities and not showing interest in the rest of the world. An example of self absorption is when you go on and on to your friend about your problems without asking how she is. YourDictionary definition and usage example."

So let's get that out of the way since it clearly doesn't fit.

I defended the Clintons since the 90's up until sometime when President Obama was running for Pesident and the Clinton's ugly side started to really show. Since then I have gone from dismayed to disgusted....with plenty of reason.

Talking about being naive! I was pretty naive back in the 90's. Not that that the Republicans were better, they were despicable gutter rats.

My eyes are wide open about the Clintons now and there are SO MANY inconsistencies of who they say they are and then how they lead their lives. What they stand for and what the actual votes says. What the record as Secretary of State says about Hillary Clinton foreign policy platform and how she tries to present herself.

I almost threw up today when I saw her speech about how she is going to right the wrong of mass incarcerations of black men and how it has destroyed families. WHAT????? Wasn't Bill and Hillary responsible for that happening? It sounded like she was reciting Bernie Sanders speech.

The white noise question is a way to be able to say things without being held accountable for them. It is plain and simple.

The Clinton's if nothing else have learned how to not leave anything to chance, giving them an opportunity to play both sides of the fence. To me it borcers on deceptive operating practices and paranoia, which does not make for a good quality for President of the United States.
