This primary season has exposed one of the biggest Third Way lies for what it is
For years the DLC/Third Way has been telling us we need to move towards the "center" (or as it is more accurately called the right) in order to win the votes of independents.
This primary cycle provides absolute proof that is not true. The way to win independents is not to adopt the Third Way agenda, the way to win independents is to reject the Third Way agenda and adopt policies that benefit ordinary Americans rather than corporate interests. Hillary has offered us a Third Way platform and Bernie has offered us a democratic socialist platform, independents have overwhelmingly chosen democratic socialism over the Third Way. Contrary to the lies we have heard from the Third Way for years most independents are not a group of "centrists" that want Democrats to move closer to the Republicans, there are far more independents that are turned off by party politics than there are independents who are looking for more conservative Democrats. For years the establishment media has been completely clueless as to what independent voters look for in a candidate, but the Bernie Sanders phenomenon is showing us what independents want and it is not what the Third Way has been selling.

1. Clinton is not offering a third way platform.
if you read her actual policies, they're pretty straightforwardly liberal.
not compared to Sanders, but Sanders is the most leftwing member of Congress, so that's hardly an accurate benchmark |

2. The choice is really very simple folks: Corporate Socialism or Democratic Socialism. Choose
as if your life and the lives of your progeny depend on it (because they do).

3. The planet depends on it too!
Our home, the only one we have, is about to change to the point where we won't be able to survive. We have to do something about it, NOW.

5. That is a very good observation. Third Way politics is Clintonism, it is all
based on lies and deception. These are our true enemies.

6. Independents don't like to be lied to or manipulated.
Machiavellian politics is required for neo-liberals and neo-conservatives to initially win elections.
Once in office, these economic and political philosophies imbed and perpetuate themselves and spread globally. Neo-liberalism and neo-conservatism of philosophies of elites that prey on weakness and gloat about their power in "creating reality". I dream of getting neo-liberalism and neo-conservatism out of the Democratic Party. We are looking at a generation of time and new politicians. |
