Secretary Clinton regrets joking that Ghandhi used to run a gas station in St. Louis.

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton apologized for joking that Mahatma Gandhi used to run a gas station in St. Louis, saying it was “a lame attempt at humor."
http://www.nbcnews.com/id/3890946/ns/us_news-life/t/clinton-regrets-gandhi-joke/

It's hard to be funny, especially when you force yourself to be, it can sometimes lead you down these offensive lines of thought, which possibly should be taken with a grain of salt. Some people lack the natural ability to be humorous and especially when being improvisational, you say something before you think, Freudian slip? Or just human nature?

Though, I was a bandwagon Sox fan when they won, that was an exciting championship. I'll join the Cubs bandwagon when their their time comes (a century is long enough!). Tonight, Kobe retires and the Warriors are poised to win 73, the most in the history of the NBA.

So glad you have better memories. I don't judge a year "good" by its sports events if far, far worse things are happening--like the slaughter of war, and the torturing of prisoners and the cruel displacement of millions of people, and vast criminality in our nation's leadership and grand theft from the public treasury.

I like sports, too. But "a good year" with all that horror happening? Not.

Like many smart serious people, Hillary Clinton just does not have a sense of humor. So when she tries to be funny, she misses the mark, just like Mitt "who let the dogs out" Romney. Or Sheldon Cooper.

She has had so many of these moments where she seems to come unhinged. Yet, she rarely gets called down about them, unless she is pandering to a constituency and is put in a corner.

I'll bet she would have sided with the British Empire on that conflict. She's siding with Wall Street, our own brand of imperial oligarchs, now.
