2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumWhy are the Superdelegates going for Hillary over Bernie??
1. They think Hillary is more likely to win in the general election and
2. Hillary is fundraising and helping in the down ticket races of, you guessed it, superdelegates.
This notion that the vote count in the individual states is going to dictate who the superdelegates vote for is as real as unicorns. So please lets not hear of it again. Party politics is dirty and unseemly. People took out for their self interest. In other words, GROW UP.

He is not a member of the Democratic Party.
This is a community that supports each other.
There's benefits to be the outside-the-box candidate, but there are also drawbacks.

In other words the perpetual "CA$H for Clinton's" Campaign!

are you saying local voters matter less, than voters in a different state when it comes to superdelegates?

(6,282 posts)The Joint Fundraising Committee (JFC) is washing/laundering the big dollar donations (in excess of the contributions allowed to HFA, $2700) to solicit small dollar donations to Hillary for America (HFA). Those are outreach dollars that would otherwise have to be spent by HFA, since money is fungible. This is the source of the in-kind donation complaint.
They are abusing the spirit certainly, if not the letter (IANAL), of campaign finance regulations.
I hope progressive minded superdelegates keep this in mind, if they are against the corrupting influence of big money in politics as they purport.

(12,398 posts)Delaware's primary isn't until the 26th, but all 5 delegates have said they're voting for Hillary. This is not representative democracy. Of course, Carper, Coons and Carney are all DLC sweethearts. Heck, Carper is even a founding member, so I shouldn't be surprised.

AFAIK they don't have to justify their vote so they're free to circumvent the will of the voters.
