Also shows Senate primary==Chris Van Hollen with a big lead over Donna Edwards--52-36. I thought this race was closer, highly racially polarized with a big gender gap as well.

That is a bit surprising to me on Van Hollen and Edwards but Chris is really popular here with high name recognition.

a stupid stunt whoever did that.
DCBob
(24,689 posts)7. It certainly didnt help but I think Chris was going to win this regardless.
Desperation tactic by the Edwards campaign I suppose.

Getting the President to publicly smack down an ad is a major own goal.

(51,122 posts)4. I was told on DU yesterday that Maryland doesn't count because the entire state works in DC.
But I was also told that New York City doesn't count because they are all 1%ers who work on Wall Street.
I am somewhat skeptical of both claims.

(24,689 posts)9. There could be effect somewhat similar to NY here in MD.
I suspect Hillary will win big all the urban areas surrounding DC and Bernie will do better in smaller towns and rural areas. He might win quite a few counties out in the hinterlands but it wont make any difference.
