The following was just posted in DU. For your reading pleasure - and amusement: (I personally love the part about WE WILL NOT STAND FOR THIS>
...Bernie hasn't lost yet; however, Hillary and her supporters are already gloating over the crushing of Bernie's Political Revolution. That can't be allowed to happen! There are plans for a massive march on the Democratic Convention in support of Bernie Sanders and his agenda. There's a Facebook page for the March and two event pages:
March on the Democratic National Convention
Bernie Supporters March on Philadelphia - Democratic National Convention
The first already has 2.2K people who've signed up as 'going' and 6.8K who've indicated that they're 'interested.' (I
Come out to Philadelphia and join us as we march on the Democratic National Convention this July! This march is in protest to the highly biased and unfair treatment, demonstrated by the DNC, towards presidential candidate, Bernie Sanders. It has been blatantly clear that the DNC has tried to tip the scales during this election, and has NOT represented the will of the citizens. We have to make our voices heard. WE WILL NOT STAND FOR THIS! This march is also designed to put pressure on the superdelegates to cast their vote in accordance with their constituents. We must unite together, because that is what this campaign is about, not dividing us apart.

By Bill Curry - TUESDAY, FEB 23, 2016 05:00 AM CST
The key 2016 issue is outrage over a rigged system by special interests. There's a reason Hillary doesn't get it
In 1992, James Carville, Bill Clintons senior campaign strategist, scribbled a terse memo containing three instructions. Two are long forgotten. The third may live forever. Its the economy, stupid became a meme because it nailed the issue that drove that election. One overarching issue drives this election, but neither Hillary Clintons campaign nor the Democratic Party got the memo. Any swing voter could tell them what it says: Its the corruption, stupid.
~Snip~
Poorly written and atrociously reasoned, Citizens United rests on three simple, absurd precepts: Money is speech; corporations are people; and corruption is OK so long as it is sanctioned. OK, the third one isnt so simple, but it sure is absurd. It pertains to what Justice Kennedy, the opinions author, calls soft corruption, by which he means the entire system: big donors, lobbyists, lush retreats, revolving doors, exorbitant speaking fees. The whole shebang.
Kennedy says that unlike hard corruption (bribery, mainly), soft corruption harms and offends no one, so Congress cant regulate it. The issue hadnt come up at trial, so there was nothing about it in pleadings. Theres tons of data about how evil it is and how much we hate it, but Kennedy ignored it. He offered no proof to support his finding. He just said it was so and now its the law.
~Snip~
Clinton calls it an artful smear to suggest that she, Obama or any Democrat is influenced by the money they say corrupts every Republican. Her anger is partly a pose. But any card-carrying member of the establishment will take any suggestion that the system is compromised as a personal insult. This is true of elite reporters as well as politicians.
The Times David Brooks recently praised Obamas superior integrity, calling his years in office remarkably scandal free. Its all true, but recall Anthony Kennedys clueless distinction between hard and soft corruption. He said soft corruption was better but its worse really. Soft corruption is systemic corruption; a cancer on the body politic. We kill it or it kills us, and sooner than you may think.
Asked about her Goldman Sachs speaking fees, Hillary offered two rationales. One was the perennial favorite everyone does it. The other was equally flippant. (Thats what they offered.) Since leaving the White House she and Bill have hauled in $153 million in speaking fees. Her deepest flaw is she doesnt know its wrong. As Ive written twice here and said often elsewhere, Ive great respect for her. Her flaw is denial, not dishonesty but her denial runs deep....

(3,146 posts)Nothing wrong with that. Many democratic and independent voters who may have sat this election cycle out or voted green, feel invigorated enough by the Sanders campaign's message that they're willing to march in support of it. I've been a democratic voter all my life and I don't want a republican lite candidate who will go forward with the same trade and energy policies that are more beneficial to corporate interests than they are for the rest of us.
Calling this "lunacy" makes me wonder what the credentials are to be a member here on DU. I thought we were the liberals who stood for progressive principles. Ted Cruz is a lunatic. Continuing policies that are bad for the environment and hurtful to the working poor is lunacy. Sticking up for progressive principles? Seems right on to me.

(14,732 posts)The posts regarding the so-called 'conflict of interest' Aerows accuses her of (and to which I responded) is based only on some very vague, inconclusive (but very slanted) 'reporting' from 1) Fox News and 2) Breitbart, quoting the noted legal scholar Marsh Blackburn plus with reprint from Rupert's Wall St. Journal. 15 minutes of my life I'll never get back.
With sources like these you couldn't have convicted Jeffrey Dahmer, even if he'd been caught with somebody's arm in his mouth. The Third Way is quite vocal about Liz Warren "getting out of hand" - they let us know that, in an article they wrote for the WSJ. The Third Way advises the New Democrat Coalition - a nest of DINOs whose agenda is eschewing that silly old ideology and cooperating the the GOP. Which never bodes well for ordinary citizens. I take them seriously.
