(12,530 posts)The OP has zero substance, just an order telling Bernie to "sit your ass down", without even citing a reason why he needs to do so. Then, when the poster is told to take their own advice, you accuse THEM of "trashing people who disagree"?????
Unhinged.

(11,746 posts)And of course they attack anyone who dares to state the truth. Always.
I've seen the same behavior from LaRouchies, Ann Rand cultists at The Atlas Society, and other cults and cult-like organizations that I will not name. It's a low level tactic of desperation, I think.
I still haven't figured out a satisfying way to respond. Walking away works best.
Pointing out the tactic in theory is supposed to work.

(24,149 posts)I'm no Reagan apologist, but considering nobody wanted to say "condom" in public at the time, at least Nancy pushed the president to fund research and talk about AIDS, which may have led to the Koop mailer.
Yes, too little too late -- but Lord knows what it would have been like if nobody was saying what she was. It could have gone on much longer before people became aware. In any case, this was a comment after the woman died, from the first lady who came after her. I could imagine a "horrifying screed" at that moment, but Clinton was showing some tact. Nevertheless, she was right to walk it back.
In any case, no -- I would not say this clip is what her campaign is all about.

(55,981 posts)supporters. MIRT and the host forum are dominated by Clinton supporters. Certainly not 80-20. And funny thing, a number of Sanders supporters have been removed from the jury pool, hmmmm. And a number of Sanders supporters have been Flagged, the new quiet way to ban.
When I was a host I was getting and average of 3 alerts a day. Finally one stuck and I was eliminated as a host. The alert stalking stopped. The job was done. Although the percentage of Clinton supporters is 20%, you wield a lot of power. Have any Clinton Supporters gotten PPR'd?
Cary
(11,746 posts)Sheshe2 gave you the facts. I am not even a Hillary supporter per se and I am suppressed.
I have two hides simply because I had the nerve to suggest we should try to get along. I am told that my intent isn't my intent. 85 percent to 15 percent Rhett. That's a fact you can't get around.
rhett o rick
(55,981 posts)The most outspoken progressives have been banned and now others are being FFR'd. MIRT and the Host Forum wield a lot of power of who gets removed and which OPs get locked. Both of those groups have a majority of Clinton supporters or at least they don't represent the percentage breakdown of 85 - 15. Many progressives I have spoken to have been quietly removed from the jury pools. So most likely the jury pools aren't representative of the 85 - 15% breakdown either. And I am willing to bet that 80% of the alerts are made by the 15%. They are organized, have an off-site to go and strategize, and they brag about it.
So the 85 - 15% isn't the whole story.
Cary
(11,746 posts)I appreciate what they're trying to do. I don't think enough people here can be objective enough to be fair about that either.

It has gone both ways like an ugly mirror.
A good friend was explaining to me about how much more class Hillary supporters have. And how even Bernie would disapprove of us. Later that day, I read his post in a Bernie group on FB, calling the young voters "uninformed, ignorant, diaper-wearing assholes." That was pretty classy!

ALERTER'S COMMENTS
Yeah, this is an over the top reference directed at a DU'er - an AA DU'er at that. This little subthread devoted to piling on is pitiful, and this post is a nasty addition.
JURY RESULTS
You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Thu May 5, 2016, 09:05 AM, and the Jury voted 4-3 to HIDE IT.
Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Seems like a bit of comic relief to me
Juror #2 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #4 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Gee. I thought you were alerting on the OP. OP serves up shit, gets covered in it, and you call the cops to save them. Uhm, nope.
Juror #6 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Screw all the Bernanas. I wish they would finally just leave.
Juror #7 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Try to stay on subject, what does this have to do with Sanders still running?
Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.

(9,385 posts)That's what she should have done when the FBI opened its investigation. After that, this primary should have been between Bernie and Martin O'Malley, if she had any integrity or responsibility.
As to your OP statement, there's nothing you can do about controlling Bernie's decisions. Hillary and her surrogates and supporters have nothing to say about it. Same for the Dem party. People in other states have a right to vote, and he has a right to finish the Primary process fully.
