Democratic party insists on maintaining suicide pact with Republican party

enough will to take control of the Green Party and make it viable. It's already on the ballot in most states and has (some) name recognition (very costly to build overnight) and is the only "third" party in the US with an international affiliation. However, I have my doubts about the ability of the left to unify sufficiently to make any "third" party viable.

I think that's what they want (the establishment).. it will become next to impossible to overtake them once they can marginalize us to a "tea party" contingent.. I say primary from within like DWS is about to face, keep pulling all together to the left.. we need more people to become aware of the issues at hand - unfortunately even at this point the vast majority are still in the dark on the issues that the party is facing.. their just lazy voters that go with the flow - that flow must be disrupted (from within).

I don't think the people in Flint fought that crap water on the basis of Republican or Democrat, left versus right. And the people who fought it had a lot more in common with each other than they did with the rich and/or powerful.

No, how we have to start is what I've been trying to do on DU since I joined, without ever having framed it that way: we have to start telling the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Example of not telling the truth: Pretending everything bad came from Republicans and only Republicans.

is the class that has to start to understand the consequences of the neoliberal mindset of war and wealth extraction. The enabling class, that is a bit more amorphous making them more difficult to identify. Observe the DU community, there is a group of people, the board enforcers (bullies) whose sole purpose is to viciously attack, often as a gang, policy positions that were the main planks of Democratic platforms. These enforcers do the bidding of the .01%. But they call themselves Democrats. That's why the D and R labels have become practically meaningless.
