Bill Press just said, as the former Chairman of the California Democratic Party, I think Bernie wins

it. I also think he will carry Oregon and maybe Kentucky. Press is sitting on the CNN commentary panel this evening, and the whole panel wonderfully has been fair and impartial. CNN also ran a good bit of Sanders' speech this evening.

I personally think if the voters in Kentucky are as impacted by Clinton's remarks about doing away with coal miners' jobs as were the people of West Virginia, Bernie Sanders might add a second southern state to his quiver of wins.

He is doing well driving home the point he has the better chance of defeating Trump in the General Election.

It also seems noticeable he has fully recovered his fighting spirit and is indeed in it to win it.

6. That is the way I feel!

I hope the people of California know they hold our destiny in the palms of their hands, and we are counting on them to take this campaign home for the win.

Thank you for posting on my thread. Isn't this thrilling?

5. I only got to watch part of it, but couldn't help but notice he has regained his momentum

It gives me a lot of joy to see Bernie interacting with his huge crowds when he gives a speech thanking this state or that state for the win. He is just so genuinely humble but at the same time, forgive this expression, so in love with his supporters and the response they have to him and his message. It seems so personal to him.

Yes, he was on fire!!!

Thank you for responding to my thread.

and I totally agree. He has the reputation, the decorum and a great handle on the important issues of today. He has a genuine concern for the people of this Country. He jumped in the race not because of selfish reasons, but he has a great concern what the future holds for his grandchildren. And so it goes that that concern has blossomed into feeling a need to help all of us have an America that is the America we are supposed to be.

One salient point he brilliantly brings home is that he indeed can defeat Trump. Stopping Trump is a major undertaking, and the only person I can see that can do that is Bernie Sanders.

Thank you so much for posting on my thread. It is always nice to "see" you.

4. Bill Press worked as an Intern in Bernie's Senate Office the year before he helped Bernie

organize a meeting to launch his presidential campaign. The meeting that launched Bernie's campaign was held in Bill Press's home. C-SPAN is your friend. At his age, I don't believe for a second that Bill Press worked as an intern in Bernie's Senate office. I believe that Press used that year to work with Bernie on how he would launch his campaign and if that did happen, that was an abuse of his office since you can't run, plan, strategyze, etc. a campaign out of of your Senate Office. Coincidently, Bernie's old Senate Office Manager is now his Presidential Campaign manager.

But then it's Hillary who's always portrayed by the Bernie supporters as the dishonest one, while Bernie's portrayed as a saint. Bernie is more calculating and conniving than his naive supporters could imagine. But keep believing that grandpa Bernie is pure as the driven snow.

8. Yes, CSPAN is my friend and I saw the interview when Bill Press discussed the initial meetings at

his (Press's) home.

I could say more about your comments, but I will decline because I am just so enjoying this evening and want to stay on a positive note. Have a nice night.

I believe that if I speculate wildly about something and layer it on thickly enough, maybe it will be so. Then, I can point to the possible consequences that follow from the product of my imagination.

No, I really don't, but thanks for the giggle.

13. Surely you gest. As many conspiracy theories that originate out of the Bernie supporters.

you can't say that with a straight face. FTR, my son was an intern in Senator Reid's office about three years ago, so I know the internship program very well, and there aren't any 70 year old interns running around the halls of Congress. The intern program is a program for college students who are interested in learning about the ins and outs of our government. These college interns are hard working gophers.

16. It's "jest," not "gest."

And "gofers," not "gophers."

Maybe you should write a strongly worded letter to, uh, someone.

What's the age at which becoming an intern is legally prohibited, again? Oh right--there isn't one.

Just stop it. You're embarrassing yourself.

7. Bill Press is a bit of an anti-Obama/anti-Clinton/Pro-Bernie partisan, so perhaps

he's not as fair or impartial as one would think. You know what is? The math. The numbers don't support a Bernie win. Period.

The exit polls are driving home the point that even the people who voted for him in WVa would prefer to vote for Trump if it's between Bernie and Trump. He can recover whatever spirit he'd like, but he's still not winning, and even those voting for him prefer Trump.

It ain't over until it's over. I think he going on a winning streak, except for the loss of NJ. And he does have the Big Mo going for him now.

20. Of course he'll carry Oregon and Kentucky

as well as Montana. But he trails hugely in California and the demographics there do not favor him. The voting patterns in this election are clear. Polls show Bernie trailing Clinton by double digits in California--the same polls that Bernie insists matter more than the votes of actual citizens because they show him doing better against Trump than Clinton does. But the fact he is doesn't have a better chance of beating Trump because is not and will not be the nominee. Super delegates are not going to fulfil Bernie's dreams by overturning the results of democratic elections and impose him in office against the will of the electorate.

There is nothing that signals contempt for the rights of American citizens more than a determination to strip them of their ability to chose their elected officials by the ballot box.

Another point. Clinton won the California primary in 2008 and she at no point trailed in earned delegates by anywhere near what Bernie does now. She still didn't win the nomination. Nor did she argue that she should be able to overturn the results of existing elections because she and her voters were just more important than the rest of Americans. She instead conceded and backed Barack Obama. Bernie instead argues that my vote, the votes of over 12 million Americans, don't really matter in comparison to corporate polls that show him doing better against Trump, even though those same polls show Clinton kicking Trump's ass. That people support his efforts to subvert the people's rights to select their nominee by the ballot box and to nullify the votes of the Democratic electorate--especially people of color, the most loyal Democratic voting groups, who also support Clinton rather than Sanders--tell me the singular goal is now and has always been undermining the rights of the majority.
