Rush Limbaugh goes back on the attack today.........
Following sincerely apologizing for calling a Georgetown University student a slut, conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh on Tuesday complained about overeducated single white women.
What is it with all these young, single, white women? Overeducated doesnt mean intelligent, he ranted, going on to talk about journalist Tracie McMillians book.
On Monday, attorney Max Kennerly with The Beasley Firm told the Philidelphia Daily News that Fluke could definitely sue the radio host because he had made false statements of fact.

(111,222 posts)who think women are chipping away at their pedestals. And we are.
The only question is what sort of advertisers that will attract. Women are major purchasers of just about everything but limp dick pills and I sincerely doubt the producers of Viagra and Cialis will be enough to keep his show going. He'll have to start advertising soft porn and that will kill him in the bible belt.

(101,294 posts)I kept tutoring and freelancing until I wrangled myself a job at City Limits as managing editor. I was a copy editor, photo editor, office manager and deadline nag, and in my free time I started writing stories about the things that interested me: welfare, child care, anything, really, about how working families eked out a living. I'm proud, and a little shocked, that I've now won several national awards, including the Harry Chapin Media Award and the James Aronson Award for Social Justice Journalism, and have been recognized by the James Beard Foundation, for my work on these topics. Even though I'm not on staff at a big, fancy magazine or newspaper, the awards put my work in the same league as the publications I beat to win them: the New York Times, Fortune, Businessweek and Time.

She has a bachelor's degree. That she's got several awards for her writing means nothing to the slug.

(21,046 posts)I earned an A.A.S., a B.A. and a J.D. (law degree). Twelve years of college. Worked full time at the courthouse and went to law school at night part-time.
I earned the J.D. in 1985. So I'm not young but I'm overeducated.
My grandparents, who were born in 1894 and 1898 respectively, BOTH earned Master's Degrees from Mississippi A&M during World War I. It still amazes me that my grandmother, born in Mississippi in 1898, earned a Master's Degree and was a County Extension Agent for her whole career, working for Mississippi A&M and Texas A&M.
My great-aunt got a full scholarship to Yale Nursing School in 1940 for a Master's degree in Nursing. She also earned a Master's Degree in Public Health. She was born in 1917. She was the only person in my family who went to an Ivy League school. She used to help me with my chemistry homework in high school. She had a B.S. in Chemistry.
Wonder if Rush knows there were college-educated women running loose long before he was born?

(35,698 posts)Limbaugh graduated from Cape Girardeau, Missouri Central High School, in 1969. Because of his parents' desire to see him attend college, he enrolled in Southeast Missouri State University but left the school after two semesters and one summer. According to his mother, "he flunked everything", and "he just didn't seem interested in anything except radio."

Pretty rich for a guy who flunked out of college after 2 semesters and a summer session (probably a failed attempt to pass something) to be talking about someone with a bachelor's degree as being "overeducated"
