Get Control, Senator Sanders, or Get Out

Violence. Death threats. Vile, misogynistic names screamed at women. Rage. Hatred. Menacing, anonymous phone calls to homes and offices. Public officials whisked offstage by security agents frightened of the growing mob. None of this has any place in a political campaign. And the candidate who has been tolerating this obscene behavior among his supporters is showing himself to be unfit for office.

So, Senator Sanders, either get control of what is becoming your increasingly unhinged cult or get out of the race. Whatever respect sane liberals had for you is rapidly dwindling, and the damage being inflicted on your reputation may be unfixable. If you can’t even manage the vicious thugs who act in your name, you can’t be trusted to run a convenience store, much less the country.

When Bernie Sanders launched his presidential campaign, he seemed to be the kind of candidate who would inspire voters from the liberal blocs of the Democratic Party, push the party leftward and influence the future direction of politics—either as the nominee or as a force for change. But Sanders has increasingly signaled that he is in this race for Sanders, and day after day shows himself to be a whining crybaby with little interest in a broader movement. His vicious—and often ridiculous—attacks on the party whenever he doesn’t win a contest have inspired a level of ignorant fanaticism among a large swath of his supporters that is becoming more akin to what might be seen at an out-of-control rally for Donald Trump. Signs are emerging that the Sanders campaign is transmogrifying into the type of movement through which tyrants are born.

The ugly was on display at the recent state convention of the Nevada Democratic Party, where Hillary Clinton won more delegates than Sanders. Now, this should hardly have been a surprise to anyone except the Sandernistas, whose certainty in their righteousness has overwhelmed any commitment they may have ever had to democracy. Sanders lost the Nevada caucuses in February by more than 5 percent. A rational person who cared about the will of the people would presume that Clinton would emerge from the state with the most delegates. But Sanders supporters were outraged—outraged!—that the person with the largest number of votes ended up with the largest share of delegates.

and witnessed what happened. There was absolutely no violence on the part of Bernie supporters. One picked up a chair, and the others immediately stopped him from doing what he was contemplating.

The reports of violence by Bernie supporters are totally fabricated by the media to discredit him.

Bernie delegates at the Convention were protesting the utter lawlessness with which the Clinton surrogates in charge of the Convention handled it. There is currently a lawsuit pending on that. I hope those responsible for that lawlessness go to prison and stay there for a very long time. That's where they belong. Not people who were conducting a peaceful, though loud, protest.

I have read his blog...he is not lying...and you all have no right to delegates you lost in the caucus...so cry me a river. The behavior of the Sanders supporters caught on video is disgusting. Your guy lost, the sooner you move on and do the right thing or not, the better.

[bSo many delicate flowers in the least likely of places is absolutely terrifying.

These folks are responsible for making life changing decisions that effect the health and welfare of individual citizens and they decide what the effect this country's actions (or inaction) have upon the world's population. These folks' decisions send our people to fight for wars created to appease the 1%ers not our country's safety.

Spare me terrified and distressed noblewoman and nobleman bullshit.

People boo.

People also do other stupid shit but until you have identified these people or have someone arrested for threatening someone, don't you dare find fault in our inability to believe your gospel.

The reputation for violence is being manufactured by the Hillaryites.

Lange needs to explain what I describe in the post I link to above.

...only to find that there is no such thing. Alas, that lesson often comes far too late.

So then, about this topic. 'Get control'. LOL. And how do you propose he do that? How do you propose ANYONE do that?

How do you propose, under any circumstance whatsoever, to prevent someone from 'rabble rousing'? How do you prevent someone from going to a Hillary gathering, for instance, and 'screaming obscenities at women'? How do you prove they're an authentic Bernie Supporter?

Oh, that's right. Ya can't. Because no matter how much you research online, the long con can last longer. People online have identities that stretch all the way back to the days before 'PUT ALL YOUR INFO ONLINE FOR ADVERTISERS!" became the mentality. People in the real world routinely cover their true beliefs to keep the Twitter brigade from descending on them and to keep others unaware in RL.

No, there is no "control". It's not possible. I know it, you probably know it, the author of this piece should know it. So since we all know there is no control, then, that leaves only one possibility.

This article is propaganda meant for ulterior purposes...which, interestingly enough, is being performed for the purpose of attempting to CONTROL (or 'massage', in this case) people's reactions. IOW...the lesson I alluded to in the opening two sentences is the one this very author has yet to learn. How delicious.
