Sanders outpaces Clinton in fundraising for fourth straight month

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2016/may/20/sanders-tops-clinton-fundraising-fourth-month-row/

Mr. Sanders out-raised rival Hillary Clinton for the fourth month in a row. The Vermont senator took in $26.9 million in April, narrowly inching out Mrs. Clinton’s $26.4 million intake.

“Only 5 percent of Sanders’ total came from donors who have given the maximum $2,700 an individual may donate to a candidate,” the Sanders campaign said Friday in an press release. “Almost half of Hillary Clinton’s primary campaign committee money comes from maxed-out donors.”

Big corporations paid Hillary hundreds of thousands of dollars for short speeches. That's only because they are truly interested in what she has to say. Her insights are really unique. The corporations expect no considerations for all the money they spent.

And unicorns frolic on my front lawn.

been brainwashed. Reality is that Hillary needs only 85 more delegates of the 939 left. And yes, that includes super delegates...the very people who are the committed party officials, who have been supported by the party in their elections, who have known and admired Hillary in her many roles, and who know that their political futures are tied to their support of loyal Democrats.

The same super delegates who Sanders has been demeaning, and scolding for no reason other than he is losing. And who his supporters have been mercilessly threatening for months.

The chances of any of these people switching to Sanders is nil. The race is closed.

http://americablog.com/2010/08/koch-industries-gave-funding-to-the-dlc-and-served-on-its-executive-council.html

"And for $25,000, 28 giant companies found their way onto the DLC’s executive council, including Aetna, AT&T;, American Airlines, AIG, BellSouth, Chevron, DuPont, Enron, IBM, Merck and Company, Microsoft, Philip Morris, Texaco, and Verizon Communications. Few, if any, of these corporations would be seen as leaning Democratic, of course, but here and there are some real surprises. One member of the DLC’s executive council is none other than Koch Industries, the privately held, Kansas-based oil company whose namesake family members are avatars of the far right, having helped to found archconservative institutions like the Cato Institute and Citizens for a Sound Economy. Not only that, but two Koch executives, Richard Fink and Robert P. Hall III, are listed as members of the board of trustees and the event committee, respectively–meaning that they gave significantly more than $25,000."

The task force currently combats online political harassment, having already addressed more than 5,000 individuals who have personally attacked Secretary Clinton on Twitter. The task force will provide a presence and space online where Clinton supporters can organize and engage with one another and are able to obtain graphics, videos, gifs, and messaging to use in their own social spaces. Additionally, the Barrier Breakers 2016 task force hopes to embrace the creativity of Hillary Clinton’s supporters by sharing their efforts and content with other groups.

The victory fund has transferred $3.8 million to the state parties, but almost all of that cash ($3.3 million, or 88 percent) was quickly transferred to the DNC, usually within a day or two, by the Clinton staffer who controls the committee, POLITICO’s analysis of the FEC records found.

By contrast, the victory fund has transferred $15.4 million to Clinton’s campaign and $5.7 million to the DNC, which will work closely with Clinton’s campaign if and when she becomes the party’s nominee. And most of the $23.3 million spent directly by the victory fund has gone toward expenses that appear to have directly benefited Clinton’s campaign, including $2.8 million for “salary and overhead” and $8.6 million for web advertising that mostly looks indistinguishable from Clinton campaign ads and that has helped Clinton build a network of small donors who will be critical in a general election expected to cost each side well in excess of $1 billion.

http://www.politico.com/story/2016/04/clinton-fundraising-leaves-little-for-state-parties-222670

Meanwhile, just yesterday, I got this from the Sanders campaign:

So let me introduce you to Tim Canova, a progressive challenger who is running against Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz in a Democratic primary in Florida this year.

Tim endorsed Bernie’s presidential campaign, and was inspired to run because of Wasserman Schultz’ support of the Trans-Pacific Partnership. His campaign is funded like ours, by lots of people giving small amounts of money.

And on issues like taking on Wall Street, making tuition free at public colleges, and reforming our broken campaign finance system, he is someone you can be proud to support. That’s why Bernie is endorsing Tim’s campaign, and why we’re proud to ask:

Splitting a $2.70 contribution between Bernie 2016 and Tim Canova for Congress will help elect progressives up and down the ballot while sending an UNMISTAKABLE message about our political revolution’s commitment to electing candidates who share our values.

Guess you are wrong, huh?

Sanders Fundraising Drops in April

..................He raised nearly $20 million LESS than he raised in March when he had his best fundraising month of the campaign, pulling in $45.9 million.

Sanders has a little less than $6 million cash on hand while Clinton has $30 million in the bank.
