Clinton has 2,312 delgates. You need 2,382 to get nomination. Difference is 70. IT's basic arithmetic.

Clinton will not secure the nomination with pledged delegates. It will be a contested convention. It may end on the first vote, but it won't be over before that.
Sorry. It's basic primary rules.

(3,473 posts)Secretary Clinton DOES NOT NEED 2382 Pledged Delegates to get the nomination .. it says that NOWHERE.
Secretary Clinton will do what Barack Obama did on June 3rd, 2008 and that is become the Presumptive Nominee because she has the required number of delegates when you count both the Pledged Delegates and the Superdelegates. Back in 2008, the SDs had not voted yet either and Clinton had not withdrawn from the race, but they still called Barack Obama the Presumptive Nominee ... and remember, the race in 2008 was MUCH CLOSER than this one is.
It's time the BS cheerleaders face reality ... but they'd rather continue to throw temper tantrums.
