Reid on Sanders: 'Sometimes you just have to give up'... 'I think he better do a little mathing'

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Bernie Sanders needs to recognize that "sometimes you just have to give up," Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid said Wednesday.

Reid said his fellow senator should not carry his presidential campaign through to the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, as he intends to do.

Instead, Reid said, Sanders needs to recognize that "math is math" after next week's primaries in California and New Jersey, when Hillary Clinton is expected to rack up enough delegates to effectively clinch the nomination.

"I've never been too good at math but I can figure that one out. I think he better do a little mathing," Reid told The Associated Press in an interview in his home state of Nevada.

Time to embrace reality, this thing has been over for a long time, but no one is going to entertain the Bernie fantasy past next week.

We've been hearing this since Iowa. It may finally turnout to be true, but not just yet.

that would have changed the Senate's rules. Because the problem is our leaders don't "fight" (which as far as I can tell means "speak angrily on TV&quot , and that's why Senate Republicans can obstruct things. Or something.

that brings it all home.

But that's beyond the understanding, apparently, of modern day Democrats, which is why I have use for only the few of them that will stand up for something and fight. The rest can rot in Hell.

If you were not so eager to "give up", maybe those who want to do something other than bow to the GOP might not have fed on Sanders, the way starving children will dig through garbage to avoid dying.
